Yall need to calm down a little. Yes, Freeze was out coached last night, the second time this season that's happened [LSU]. This is only his 4th year being a HC at a major school. He'll learn, if not he'll be gone. One big flaw is he put to much hope too quickly in all of us. For us to go winless in the league, to a shot at a NC a little over half way through the 3rd season, not too shabby. Our oline doesn't have much talent right now, have u not seen whose committed lately? Freeze is building a very good program imo, just gonna take time. But he better use good judgement and look at his staff carefully. Some changes need to be made. And he also might consider letting someone else call the plays. Hopefully we'll beat state and close out with a bowl win, cause we sure don't want to interrupt the recruiting momentum. Already getting bad vibes with Leo Lewis and state.

Jim, what's the chance he might consider letting someone call two or three plays before the snap and teaching the QB to read the defense and audible if necessary?

This is all true. But, IMO, we do not need to be talking raise at this point. It seems we are paying for what he is doing off the field. He is recruiting well, the players do love him, and he is a great guy. But, he was hired to run a football program. All that goes into it, but at the end of the day, you have to produce on the field. We have regressed this year. We talk about lack of depth. Really there are two positions we lack depth in, IMO. Linebacker and OL. Ironically, the two positions Freeze has had the least success recruiting(until this year).

Are the players so worn out, that even still having a chance to win the West is not enough to keep them from lying down against an improving, but still bad Arkansas team? If so, fire the Strength and Conditioning coach.

If there are talks going on between Bjork and Freeze, it needs to be about what changes will be made to ensure we don't have another collapse like this(and it IS a collapse any way you wanna look at it). Definitely not, "Hey, you finished in the bottom half of the division again, here's more money!"

Also, he is the head coach, and you just said he got out-coached in two of the most important games of the season. He shouldn't make more money until he starts out-coaching people in those games.

IMO!!!
He was not outcoached by Miles. He was stabbed in the back by "Bo"tus. He may have been outcoached by Biliema, but not sure we didn't lay on a grenade in that one.

He absolutely outcoached Sumlin & more importantly Saban this year.

You also have to pay a little extra when you have faith in your future, so that your future doesn't become someone else's, ala Tuberville to AU.

In College Football, when you only pay for what someone has earned, you find out that someone else will pay 1st. If we don't show CHF the love now, you can bet the UF's, & the like will & he will be gone. Unfortunately big time sports don't live in the real world. Top commodities get paid on future potential returns, not on incentives for results!!!!!!!!!
I am on the golf course if the Rebels aren't on the field.

I completely disagree! Freeze definitely was outcoached by Les Miles. He had the opportunity to kick a very makeable Field goal, but took too much time and cost us 5 yards taking us out of field-goal range. Hell, it was first down! We could've spike the d*** ball and bought 40 more seconds

I will say that I felt we paid more than Freeze had earned when we hired him. We took a chance, and he was worth his original contract. I felt he deserved a raise after last year, but honestly thought the $1 Million raise he got was too much after the Egg Bowl. This year, I think he's proved he's earned his current salary and no more. If he had beaten Auburn, LSU, and Arkansas, I'd say he earned a $2 Million raise for next year.

Auburn's new unofficial motto is "Beat Auburn, everyone else has... Except Ole Miss!"

Wait, maybe that's LSU's motto...
