Heard tonight on Head to Head from Richard Cross that when he was in the post-game locker room, he was told that Bjork had a conversation with Freeze that it was 'time to wrap up the contract extension, etc.' This has been ongoing anyway for a while. Freeze is our man for as long as he wants to stay, and this Florida stuff has been overblown. This is CHF's home and home state.
Meanwhile, if I were a State fan, I'd be on the lookout for offers from Michigan to Dan Mullen. I wouldn't trust the Hunchback as far as I could throw him.

Be glad when pen gets put to paper or Freeze says he's pulling his name out. An Auburn fan tried to text me earlier saying he had an "inside source" who said Freeze was leaning towards Florida. The inside source has no affiliation with Ole Miss..

Auburn would love to see Freeze gone from the SEC West. Twitter, Facebook, 'inside sources,' etc. Some of it is wishful thinking on the part of rivals. Freeze will sign a new contract with Ole Miss. Bank it. And all this talk about Florida wanting him will be a good recruiting tool for us.

This article was complete BS from SB Nation. Both the Sun-Herald and Sports Illustrated announced tonight that Freeze has just signed a $4 million dollar deal with Ole Miss, a contract renewal that Bjork, Jimmy Sexton and Freeze have been working on for some time now. The Internet rumors were just that--wishful thinking and outright fabrication on the part of rivals. Go to the Sun-Herald or SI for details. It will be all over the Internet by tomorrow.proud2breb wrote:http://www.saturdaydownsouth.com/sec-fo ... ffer-2014/

I just saw on the ESPN ticker, that Freeze is gonna hang with us.
Another reason that we have to be happy and feel we are on the "up-tick". ( Thanks Ross)
When Nutt was hired, that was on the ESPN ticker, and I can completely see that being relevant. Keeping a coach, now, that is different.
