Rebs blew out Arkansas State 17-3 tonight. The important thing is we are guaranteed to finish over .500 and with our RPI we should be in the tourney. Sikes had a grand slam, 3 run HR, and an RBI double. He has been an absolute monster lately. Also, Errol Robinson got his first career HR tonight. We need our offense to continue hitting like we have been lately with A&M coming to town Thursday. Hotty Toddy!!

I think we can take the A & M series. Our RPI is currently 28. We moved up five spots with the win over Arkansas State. Taking two out of three against A & M could move us up close to the hosting conversation with the #1 SOS. Winning a couple in Hoover could also push our final RPI into the teens. We are hot-hitting right now.

RPI moved into the high 20"s. I think we're in the NCAA. Wins over A&M are gravy right now: may solidify a 2 rather than a 3.

If by some miracle we were to take the series from Texas A&M this weekend, we will be in a good position to host a regional as our out of conference schedule is one of the toughest in the country, i.e. so our RPI is 28 now with a lot of loses this year. And TAM is hurting right now.

I'm not sure I'd call it a miracle if we take the A & M series. We took the Florida and Vandy series, and they are right up there with A & M this year. I checked A & M message boards and saw some comments to the effect that while Ole Miss had 'nothing' to play for, they (the Aggies) did--a national seed, etc. I don't think I'm making things up when I say that the Rebs are peaking right now, and I disagree that Ole Miss has nothing to play for. If we get on a super roll, take the last series and win a couple in Hoover, we could even get into the hosting conversation. The NCAA knows we will fill up the stadium with only LSU drawing more. I'd even take a #1 seed with crappy facilities being shipped here.
