Rammer Jammer with timely hits... 7 of 9 hits with 2 outs... We cant string anything together. Bramlet has dominated.

Not really. 'Bama actually needs as many wins as possible to get on the bubble. We are already in solidly as a 2-seed. Now we can rest everyone, and Clloyd will heal up. Playing well in the regional is the only thing that matters now.

I'm not saying we didn't try to win. But 'Bama went all out because they aren't in the tournament yet. Four games below .500 in the SEC at the end of the regular season. 50'ish RPI, though it may move up after their win over us. But we weren't pitching our weekend starters, and they need their rest if we are to make a move in whatever regional we're sent to. I'm satisfied that MB coached this team to the NCAA's again and that next year we can try for another host spot. And, who knows, maybe we'll win somebody else's regional and make some noise this time around.

After yesterday's game we are sitting at #27 in RPI. Should be a solid 2 seed somewhere. If we can stay out of the loser's bracket, we have a chance.

Try this on for size. Last year's media darling was ULL. They had a gaudy record, were ranked in the Top Ten and were given a national seed because they had torn up the Sun Belt. They had never received a national seed, and the pressure was actually on them. We promptly went down there and won and went to the CWS. Cut to the media darling of 2015--Illinois. They have a gaudy record, are ranked in the Top Ten, will likely be given a national seed because they've torn up the weak Big Ten. They will never have received a national seed before, and the pressure will be on them. They may never have even hosted before. Remember the first year we hosted under Bianco? We had the jitters big-time, and Tulane, which was used to the tournament, came up and won our regional. So, yes, I'm saying that it might not be a bad thing if we are shipped off to Illinois. And if they are a national seed and we win their regional, we can Super Host.

No matter what, I think this is one of the best coaching jobs Bianco has ever done.
