just had to drag this one back out of archives and remind everyone of my prediction... I think now that everyone got to see a little of what I saw in the spring game...now i only got one question...has anyone ever seen a QB that isn't named Chad Kelly perform better @ OM in their first outing?...I challenge any and all comers to tell me that they have seen a better performance out of an OM QB this early in their career.

There was never a doubt who would start. We didn't bring Kelly here to be the backup. If he didn't start, that would've been the surprise.

I can't disagree about this being one of, if not truly the finest first outing for an Ole Miss QB. However, I don't ever remember another Ole Miss QB being surrounded by as much offensive firepower that Kelly has.

I don't think its too much of a surprise that kelly was the starter. Most knew this and most knew he had talent. Not to toot my horn but I know I said this all along myself, once again, it was almost obvious.

Im thrilled the way we played on both sides of the ball but let's not forget the team we played was not very good. Go back and look at coverage and missed assignments by them and you will see the caliber of team they are. I honestly can't dig back in my memory and remember all our quarterbacks first performance but it does seem Bo Wallace had a good first outing against an fcs opponent too. Like I said, I think Kelly is good and will be good, so enough said.

I can't remember a QB at all that cou8ld have made the throws Chad did... Even against Air...as far a all of the physical attributes goes Chad is the best Ole Miss has had in my lifetime. Time will tell if his head is worthy of that much praise.

The one interception credited to Chad was actually Treadwell's mistake and he admitted it.
