Think I need to chime in here since I kind of started this. I meant no disrespect to you Hagar by any means. It was an opinionated disagreement between us that I may or may not have taken the wrong way. I think we can both agree that chad kelly has been very impressive so far. I'm hoping for the best and think he could help us get to where we all want to be...hotty toddy!!
I am a big boy and I don't mind anyone having an opinion regardless of how different it might be...the only place I draw the line is when profanity and true name calling disrespect is used to call someone on their differing views... I got a tough skin and didn't take anything you said as personal in any way. Differing opinions is what makes message boards interesting. I appreciate your input... keep it up...Just remember one thing...after tomorrow when Bama falls by double digits and Chad Kelly's name is mentioned as a Heisman candidate ... you heard it first right here.

Fine... Compare Kelly vs Eli stats against Bama. Just remember Eli's first year we faced Murray State and Middle Tenn State. I think it's a valid comparison.WildRebel wrote:You can't be serious man??? If you think stats against Fresno and UT Martin outweigh what Eli was and has done in his career then I'm sorry but you have no clue what you're talking about. Sorry, I watched Eli throw these "perfect" passes when he wasn't being smashed in the mouth and had an average at best receiver get open. Go ask a quarterback how much who you're playing changes things.Hagar wrote:you can absolutely compare Eli and Kelly on his QB rating...not one single pass that Kelly Threw was really considered uncatachable...Quarterback ratings take ALL things into consideration and quantifies the information...that QB rating can't be considered Skewed...numbers don't lie regardless who he is playing against...if the receivers are open or not he gets the ball to em in perfect form...probability and statistics don't work like that...Luck and innuendo aren't part of the equation. Eli could'n't have thrown as many perfect passes as Kelly has to date and he for sure couldn't have run as well...you could argue that Eli has a better pocket presence but not that his ability to get the ball to his receivers in such fine form rates with Kelly.MageeRebel425 wrote:Impossible to compare Kelly to Eli yet.. Get a bigger sample size against SEC competition. One of Eli's top targets was Bill Flowers... Possibly the best WR in the country doesn't have a TD catch yet... Nor does one of the best TEs in the country... The current wr core might be the best in the country.. They are insanely deep and loaded... I hope Kelly sets the world on fire Saturday, but lets slow down on the comparisons..
Jeez I want to let this go sooo bad....but I cant. Again, its impossible to compare the 2. This team is 1000 times better than what Eli had. That point alone should makes things very clear. Truth is, if you're honest, how much do you remember about Eli's team, well not much but him. This team we're watching now will be remembered for a lot of things...not just kelly.
But, forget all of that and let's pull out the stat sheet and the one with better stats is clearly the best quarterback ever....umm sorry, but no.

okay lets do that... pull out Eli's best 3 game stat sheet from all of his combined years and compare right now...I will give you every game Eli played in as a Rebel and I will take Chad's first 3 alone. look at the ratings and read em and weep. I love Eli and everything his family and Descendants and Ancestors stand for but numbers don't lie. I eagerly await your research endeavors... I will also defer to your honesty and diligence to interpret the results. I also want to warn you not to let your biased opinion to skew the stats in any way, just let the statistics speak for themselves and be objective.... I am not talking about which team is better I am talking strictly QB rating alone. Everything else is relatively the same, Eli had a better O line, Chad has better receivers... Defenses do not enter into the equation RB's are about equal as well.... now go do your homework and let the class know what you discover.WildRebel wrote:Jeez I want to let this go sooo bad....but I cant. PS..Chad Kelly right now is leading the nation as far as QB rating after the Bama Game. FWIW

Hagar....I hate u typed all that for my sarcasm you took the wrong way. You don't compare quarterbacks from different eras and conclude that ones stats are better so this is the best quarterback. Sorry man, that's not how it works. remember that QB from Hawaii a few years back, what was his name....I forgot.
But heres the deal. You have your opinion, I have mine. That's fine and dandy. I hope kelly puts up video game numbers for the rest of the year. This is the most talented team we've had IMO. talent that can take us places we only dream about. But seriously, enough with the chest thumping every time someone mentions his name. We all knew he had talent, no one questioned it man.
