IIRC which at my advanced age may be a stretch, wasn't Cutcliff bashed for being overly conservative with the offensive play calling? Don't get me wrong, I love Chad being a Rebel as I did we Eli. If Eli operated under the current system with the receivers we have, he would also be putting up awesome numbers. I'm just so glad to call both of them OLE MISS REBELS. I hope Shea Patterson surpasses all of their records in the next few years.

The way Archie could scramble, no telling the numbers and victories he could put up in this offense. U can't judge players today to players of years gone by. Sounds like the dogs in their arguement that Dak was better than Archie. They compare the numbers to prove their point. So if u are saying Chad is better because of the numbers, then, using your logic, the dogs are right that Dak is better than Archie. I now must bash my fingers with a hammer for typing such NONSENSE.
u can never judge a book by how it chews its food

Come on man.... Numbers might not out right lie, but they don't tell the whole truth and are usually just part of the story.. Comparing Eli to any QB that plays in this system will be a stretch, due to a lot of factors, # of plays, style of offense, surrounding talent level, and rule changes just to name a few.. Bo put up really good numbers, but was he better than Eli and Archie? I hope Chad destroys all school records, but I watched the game today and his numbers did not scratch the surface of how good they could have been.
I went back and looked Eli had 31 passing attempts at Aubie in 03, Kelly had 51 today.. The 03 team ran 67 offensive plays.. We ran 91 today..
Here is a look at the top 5 passers in college football of all time:
1. Case Keenum* 19217 2007 2011 Houston
2. Timmy Chang* 17072 2000 2004 Hawaii
3. Landry Jones* 16646 2009 2012 Oklahoma
4. Graham Harrell* 15793 2005 2008 Texas Tech
5. Ty Detmer 15031 1988 1991 Brigham Young

All time TD passers
1. Case Keenum* 155 2007 2011 Houston
2. Kellen Moore* 142 2008 2011 Boise State
3. Graham Harrell* 134 2005 2008 Texas Tech
4. Colt Brennan* 131 2005 2007 Hawaii
Rakeem Cato* 131 2011 2014 Marshall

What all time greats do you see there?
