The amount of pub they've gotten from that victory is unreal. If, and I think he leaves, Fuente stays here, bet the rest of the SEC will hate us cause doubt anyone comes in here and get's a player out of Memphis with all the momentum they have right now. Some are saying they're the best team in the SEC, including some from ESPN. Here in Memphis, u can't watch any sports on any tv station, can't listen to any sports talk show on any station, without hearing HOW GREAT THE MEMPHIS TIGERS ARE. We better beat them 165-0, and never take out starters out if the game when we play them next year in Oxford. Check out the article from the CA here in Memphis.

Meh, I've moved on. No need to dwell on that game. They wanted it more and were the better team that day. Fact is, we take care of the rest of our schedule and we finish higher and accomplish more than they ever have.

I think they win out, hope we do. But they will probably be ranked higher than us. And if u lived up here, u couldn't move on. U are reminded every day. There's a reason why we quit playing them. We'll beat them next year, and hopefully Fuente will be gone. But if he ain"t........

And u may be over that game, but that game will keep us out of the NC picture if we happen to run the table. We won't get in with 2 losses, one which was out of conference.

That article seemed to twist some words. Based on how it reads, I think what Galloway was saying is IF Ole Miss wins the SEC and IF Memphis goes undefeated the rest of the way, Memphis could lay some claim to being as good as anyone in the SEC.

A lot has to happen for both teams for that to come to pass. Memphis still has to play at Temple and at Houston, as well as a Navy team that might not be a pushover and a likely rematch with Temple in the conference title game. We all know what Ole MIss still has to get through.

Any chance of a bowl game rematch?

This is exactly why we should never scheduled this game.

WE HAVE NEVER BEEN TO ATLANTA AND ARE 3 GAMES AWAY FROM ACCOMPLISHING THAT GOAL!!! Memphis still has to play a really good Houston team that thumped Vandy and a pretty good Temple team... Lets let it all play out before we go full *beep* baby mode, and whine about the possibility of winning the SEC but not making the playoff.. Are we Alabama fans?

The "no need to schedule Memphis" horse has been beaten enough. If we can't beat those guys and are actually worried about playing them then we are not ready for the playoffs much less play a "better" team.

They have a decent team this year and beat us.... I'm over it. let's win out and see what happens.

I live up here and I'm over it. We got outplayed and outcoached and lost the game. Let them talk. Who cares.
