Talent is not the issue whatsoever. This is a young team whose confidence comes and goes. Also a team that is not being taught how to hit.
I disagree. We have the good freshman class, but other than that, I don't see it. The SEC teams that are beating us have better talent. We may not make a regional.
What players are you speaking of? You'd be hard pressed to find a pitching staff better than ours top to bottom. Bortles and Blackmon could very well be the two of the top players in this conference. Olinek and Fortes are great players. I think Fortes is actually a lot better than most realize but was hidden behind turner last year and cooper coming in this year. Golson is a TREMENDOUS athlete that can basically play anywhere as he has proven since he's been here, I actually can't think of a player on any team that has the capability to do this. He can smash the ball, but I blame his inconsistency on coaching. As we've both mentioned, this freshman class is the best in the nation.
Parkinson's pulled in the 7th. Back to back singles from LSU, etheridge coming in. What bothers me is the way LSU can get those bats hot quick. Hopefully Will brought his good stuff tonight.
Etheridge gets 2 groundouts to get out of the jam. Poche is done for the night also. Peterson pitching for the tigers. Kissinger leads off with a single.
