I've read two unrelenting criticisms in your posts today...
Unrelenting? Unrelenting?

Obviously, you have not been here long enough to be witness to the meaning of unrelenting when somebody crosses into my part of the sandbox.

Unrelenting? You don't know from unrelenting.
It's not insane to suggest that the Rebels have the best defensive line in college football.

Just because there are "Smilies", it's not mandatory to use them. That's sorta like dotting your "I's" with a heart or a smiley face.

Noobs
Seconded.

I will attest to that accuracy of this statement. His little quip about the smilies is just good ol' fashioned crotchety USC. In fact, reading between the lines, it seemed almost sassy. When someone does something truly worthy of unrelenting criticism, one of two things will happen. He'll let loose and tear the flesh from your bones, or he'll ignore you completely as he's deemed you unworthy, ney undeserving of his time and attention.

This is in no way an attempt to "suck up", I'm simply warning the noobs as I was warned in my first few days here. And to prove it I offer...... :P

Thanks the the advice, USC. :thumb:

The use of smileys is strictly for visually spreading the "happy vibes", as I am generally a happy person. :D

However, there is one little smiley that I can't seem to find when I really need him. To my disdain, I guess I must describe this particular smiley instead... "You're number one, USC!" (Just imagine the bird flying in your honor!)

Geez, you're a grumpy one. I hate to burst your bubble and I mean no disrespect, but I don't intimidate easily. So carry on if you like or find a different newbie to pick on... it's your choice. Just know that you're probably not going to have much fun smart-a$$ing with this one.

By the way, thanks for sharing one of your soapbox issues with me. I'm glad we've bonded so soon. :div:

Okay, for Rebelgirl's sake, would anyone like to share their first-time encounters on this board with our West Coast correspondent. As I remember, his opening greeting to me on this board was that he did not like my blue font color. He probably still doesn't. Oops! I almost forgot my dad gum smilie :D

Unlike some of the pusillanimous bozos that post here from time to time, I do not dole out respect or forebearance simply because of one's gender. If your posts here are witless and shallow, no amount of similies or txt msg shorthand (rotflmao, lol, etc) will gain you cred. Likewise, the presence or absence of intimidation is completely irrelevant to me.

As to bonding, save that for the animal shelter. I am sure that there is a beagle somewhere with your name on it.

If your posts indicate that you have a brain then I will ignore the smilies. If your posts indicate that you are bored because you haven't had a date since the eighth grade, then I will ignore the post entirely.

You are awfully close to one of these options. I leave it to you to guess which.

The excessive use of smilies is a serious issue. Few things can discredit the validity or intelligence of a poster quicker than the use of those freaking emoticons.

Hey! There are plenty on this board flying below the emoticon radar... it's just ghastly.
