You know what I love about that video? Nutt at the end of the interview says that we meaning Ole Miss will be getting 2 to 3 out of Arkansas every year. He says that he has "long lasting relationships with coaches in Arkansas that is just not going to go away." Not only will he get 3 every year, he will probably get 3 good ones.

It's the Arkansas media so I would expect them to ask the majority of questions about the U of A. 10 percent was about Ole Miss and even that's surprising. He handled it well but that's what I expect out of a head coach and a head coach with the amount of years and experience he's got under his belt. That's what we paid for; so far the investment hasn't disappointed me at all.

There are only 3 "good ones" coming out of that *beep*hole per decade anyhow. Glad they'll be Rebels.

I believe Nutt will get a few out of Ark. every year, I don't think he'll be able to cherry pick, though. Folks over there are Arkansas fans, like LSU, they have no in-state rival. They grow up pulling for the Hogs, it's hard to sway a lot of those kids away, plus they'll feel heat from family and friends to stay in Ark. similar to the kids in Louisiana.

These are all from the "past decade" and this is just off the top of my head. . . . . . . . . . yeah, that AR talent pool really sucks.

now, now...you came up with ...well an average of 3 good ones a year. I know, that's off the top of your head and all...but it wasn't 6 or 8 a year off the top of your head, so both you both made a point that pretty much evens things out. In other words...there are a few others...but not a "slew" of them.

Again, just off the top of my head. This is this year's class. . . . . all from AR. I'm not sure what you would call a "slew," but this is more than the three you have suggested.

So my question to you is, how many of the top ten players in AR did Coach Nutt successfully recruit to Oxford?

Too bad AR doesn't breed message board prowess.

"So my question to you is, how many of the top ten players in AR did Coach Nutt successfully recruit to Oxford?"

well then, I guess my question to you then, would be did ALL those hosses make them a top 5 signing class? top 10? top 15? 16? 17? How about a top 10 finish in the polls? 15? 16?

Of course, usually there's only ten "top ten players" every year...so I doubt even the Hogs signed more than that.

IF Nutt or anyone else manages (and I"m not suggesting he will) to steal 3-4 really good players from Arkansas in most any year...then Arkansas better sign a few "out of stater's" as well. In fact, after you factor in MS grade casualties..MS and AR are about even in available talent in my opinion.

In other words...Mississippi's top 25 signees that clear the NCAA comes from about the top 40-45 in the state (usually 4-5 out of the top ten make it). our 25 that "make it" match up well with Ar.'s top 25...and the hogs probably get 19-20 of those. Obviously we share those with MSU, USM, Florida, Auburn LSU so I know that AR has a better deal than we do.

But if you took 3 or 4 of that class they sign every year...it'd hurt, and they have to make it up out of state. If you took the very best 3 or 4 (that make it)...It'd be like signing all our top ten...after going through NCAA clearinghouse.

So he won how many West Championships without cherry picking Ark.? That's works out great for us b/c your statement insinuates he was able to get talent from other states.

Everyone knows that Arkansas has the lowest talent pool per capita in the SEC.
