I read this earlier today, and did not know that Pat Sullivan was the coach. He and Terry Beasley were an awesome combo at Auburn in the early 70s.

I actually would have thought that Samford would have been more pass-happy than the stats reflect.

I hope after this game Matt Malouf ends up sitting in a corner somewhere crying about how they "just kept sacking me..."

Why? He's 19. He wanted to play QB at Ole Miss, but we didn't have a place for him. He played QB at Memphis and is now playing QB at Samford. I'm glad he got what he wanted (playing QB).

Sure he didn't choose Ole Miss, but we're not hurting at QB right now anyway.
Houston Nutt has done nothing but good things for Ole Miss. Until he does something bad, all your arguments against him are lost on us.

He didn't leave a very favorable impression on Oxford when he was in HS...

I want that to happen to every qb we play. I don't care who they are.

Did you guys watch the Broncos shred the Raiders last night? Well, that's how I want OM to play Samford. No mercy at all. :x

Yeah he looked downright Elwayesque, & Eddie Royal (a rookie!!) rocked. They're going to be much better this yr. :)

i'm hoping we jump out to a comfortable lead, and Houston uses that opportunity to get in some game reps for some of the things we need to work on the most. if they work, then good, we may hang 50 on them, if not, at least we'll get some game experience for some of our weaknesses.

Welcome. anyway, I hope that Stanley gets in and sees some PT. Hopefully we get the young RBs in and see how Enrique can do. we already know how good Bolden is, but I havent seen much fro Enrique when hes been in. Its obvious BB is the man right now, but we have agood problem with these young RBs. Also the corners need to get good so the Safeties can roam more bc when Sanford and K lewis get losse theyll make the plays.

No to Stanley seeing the field this year unless absolutely necessary. He needs to Redshirt. Snead's a Soph. and Stanley a Fr. We need 2 year difference b/t the 2. Stanley the QB his Jr. and Sr. years. Tapp, hopefully. will get some snaps Sat.
Nutt calls the formation the Wild Rebel. Which sure beats the heck out of Orgeron's Wild Boys.
