any time McCluster sets foot inside the 10 with the ball and an opposing player is in front or even with him, make him go down immediately. Kneel it if you have to.

As I said in another thread, it's hard to get on Dexter too much. Both fumbles (against SC and against Vandy) were very hard hits and honestly, I don't know too many college players that could have hung on to that one on Saturday. He got hit hard.

The one against Vandy was a tough one, but considering what he's done for the success of this team thus far all I can say is that every athlete is also human. One fumble should not cause a team to lose a game. If it does then it's not just that one person's fault. In both the Vandy game and the SC game it's been the failure of the team to deliver the knock-out punch early when they had their opponent on the ropes.

Clearly we're not giving the knock out punch. But this is now 3 times(I think) that he's fumbled inside the 10. Clearly there's a problem with ball security.

I think his problem is that he fights for the extra yard or so when he doesnt need to. He has no quit in him.

Yep, Dexter is like that little engine who thought he could no matter the odds, and in the end, he was right. DM said he was securing the ball as he was hit. Anyway we have been in every game bc of D2. He is the heart of this team and just fearless, but he does have to learn that sometimes it pays to just go down. 8)

My strategy is to stop drinking red and blue coolaid and start drinking red and blue gatorade.
