Cotton Bowl, for me I think it is obvious.

Let see,
1) A 14 hour drive, or several hundred dollar plane ticket
2) A 30 minute drive and $10 worth of gas.

Hmmmm, tough choice!

This is the kind of thinking we dont need. I live in Hattiesburg and I have to deal with the "Ole Miss Is Scared" bullsh17 on a day in day out basis. I definately dont see why we need to be scared now. I know TT has a great passing offense, the whole country knows it. Everyone said we were playing out of our league at Gainesville and we won. WE stayed with Wake, and the nations #1 team as well. I think it would be a great opportunity. Will we win against TT, I dont know? Can we win against TT, H3LL yes. But like I said, I picked the Chick-Fil-A though for the fan friendly environment and I projected the Chick-Fil-A on my blog simply because I see the Cotton picking LSU over Ole Miss simply because they are a bigger fan base.

There's a difference between being scared and being realistic. Texas Tech's HUGE bowl win over a good Virginia team launched this into the spotlight for the next year, and I'd expect the same for a win at our bowl. But winning a big name bowl is more important to me (and recruiting numbers) than winning a tad bigger named bowl.

Don't call me scared, call me strategic.
I believe that man will not merely endure: he will prevail. He is immortal, not because he alone among creatures has an inexhaustible voice, but because he has a soul, a spirit capable of compassion and sacrifice and endurance.

I didn't mean you were scared and I agree that a win in a bowl goes a lot further in recruiting than a loss, no matter the opponent. But what I meant was how it is being percieved. I know the real reason we stopped playing USM and continue to not play them today, but that doesn't stop the rest of the country including my neighbors down here in H'burg from percieving it as being "Scared"

I just dont like hearing that crap anymore. No disrespect to you intended.

The Cotton will pick whoever wins the LSU Ole Miss game.

I think we'll get to the Cotton. Les Miles is not a good coach as I'll tell anyone who will listen, so that little streak the Tigers have on us is up.

Perhaps we'll get Missouri and we can beat them as we should have in 2007 when BenJarvus had a million yard rushing on them.

I think you guys are all over selling the BIg 12 schools. None of them have faced real pressure from SEC caliber D-Linemen. The one half that Texas did face such pressure (first half vs Tech) Colt McCoy was drinking heavily from a milkshake flavored by his own blood.

I say bring them on. We beat Florida guys....

We just need to beat LSU and Moo U and let the bowl chips fall where they do. But I am not afraid of anybody...especiallly if we are an underdog and HDFN is our coach!

It is nice to see so many are looking toward the Cotton Bowl. Beating LSU is a reality. Beating state is too. Cotton Bowl is a reality !
