Anyone know the tiggers record in night games versus day games? Y'all know we have the second most victories of any team in Tiger Stadium? (To Bama, of course).

Sounds like an interesting research project.
You've just got to learn from the wrong things you've done. I came off the rebound, started looking around, figured out it's time to have a little fun.

Yeah, I tried a couple of their fan sites to no avail. I'll keep looking.

About half way down the article:

"This Day vs. Night Thing In Tiger Stadium
The facts indicate that LSU plays better at night in Tiger Stadium than they do during the day. The numbers show that since 1960, LSU is 209-59-4 (.773) at night under the lights compared to a 21-24-3 (.469) mark in Tiger Stadium during the day. Since 2000, LSU is 54-9 overall at home, which includes a 43-4 (.915) mark at night in Tiger Stadium and an 11-5 (.687) record during the day. Prior to 2000, LSU had only won 10 games at home during the day in 32 tries. From 1960 to 1999, LSU posted an 10-19-3 (.359) record at home during the day. The following is a breakdown of LSU's night record, day record and overall record in Tiger Stadium since 1960:
Decade Record at Night Record during the day Overall Tiger Stadium Record
1960-69 47-9-2 2-2-1 49-11-3
1970-79 51-12-1 1-2 52-14-1
1980-89 38-16-1 3-5-2 41-21-3
1990-99 30-18 4-10 34-28
2000-08 43-4 11-5 54-9
TOTALS 209-59-4 21-24-3 230-83-7"

Ok, here we go:

Since 1960, LSU is 206-59-3 (.774) at night in Tiger Stadium compared to a 20-23-3 (.467) record during the day over that span.

LSU has not lost a night game in Tiger Stadium since losing to UT in 2005. Ole Miss, of course, beat LSU in a night game in 2001 and probably should have won on a return trip in 2002 (lost 14-13, we played two straight in Tiger Stadium to make up for LSU playing at UM 2 years in a row in the 90's). We played well in the night games at Tiger Stadium in 2004 and 2006, having a shot to win both when LSU definitely had a superior squad.

We normally don't have a good showing in that 2:30 CBS game, last time we won then was 2003 at Auburn, if I'm not mistaken. Bama has beaten us several times in that time slot. However, this is LSU and I think that the importance and magnitude of this rivalry has been passed down by the players through the years. That is the only thing that can explain it to me. The players just know that they have to be on for LSU and year in and year out we compete with a team that usually has better talent, a bigger athletic budget and all the other things that come along with it. If one were to look at this matchup in a logical manner, there is probably no reason we should ever beat LSU--but we have and do. We have never lost 7 in a row to the tiggers and I think their little winning streak against us is over.
