Ole Miss beat LSU in LSU 2001.
That means the 2002 game would have been in Oxford.
Why was the 2003 game in Oxford?
Help me me out with something

To make up for in the 90s when LSU had to come to Ole Miss back to back for some reason I can't remember.

We played 2 in a row in Red Stick in 2001 & 02...because of the NEZ construction maybe?
But we did play 2 in a row in Jackson in 91/92, but I think that might have had something to do with the conference realignment and addition of USC and Arky in 92.

That was done so that when we played Florida in '02 that game could be in Oxford. We had to give up the home game with LSU to get Florida to Oxford.

If I remember right, we played LSU 2 times down there in a row and we played Vandy in Oxford 2 years in a row.umrebelfan69 wrote:That was done so that when we played Florida in '02 that game could be in Oxford. We had to give up the home game with LSU to get Florida to Oxford.
Nutt calls the formation the Wild Rebel. Which sure beats the heck out of Orgeron's Wild Boys.
