These guys think we are garbage. Found this on OM Spirit. I cant wait til we get a hold of em and show em what defense is. They say our OL is not better tha Baylor. they are morons. They say our DL isnt as good as Ut and OU. Garbage again. they will be in for a rude awakening when Peria Jerry gives Harrell some pain cake. And he wont want seconds of that. Our opffense will scorch them for 40 and our D will kill em and Hardy and P Jerry will wreak havoc. I cant believe these ppl think they are the best team ever and they can roll us. I know some of yall arent confident, but I am. Simple as that. Our D is better than OU's and our O is as explosive as it gets when it comes to the SEC. any ways, here is what they say.

One thing that I have learned here in Texas is that Tech fans are like USM fans. 3rd tier and no class. By reading the comments, you can tell that they know zero about us. One even said they wanted to play LSUX - that explains it for me.

TTech is the same as always; high scoring offense and nothing else. They did beat our high scoring offenses of 2002 and 2003 though. We bring defense this year however!
If you compare the schedules, they beat Texas, we beat Florida. They got killed by OU, we lost a close one to Bama. Those are the 4 contenders for the NC. TTech and Ole Miss are 2nd tier to those 4. As for the rest of the schedule, they held on against Nebraska and Baylor and we lost it to Vandy and South Carolina.
If you compare stats, they put up 535 yds/game, we put up 400. They allow 371, we allow 300. They put up 44 pts/game, we put up 30. They allow 26, we allow 18.
It looks as if this one needs to be decided on the field.
Every fan drinks the Koolaid and TTech fans are no different. I don't blame them for being excited... but they must have forgotten about the OU game! Honestly, OU made them look like a lower league team. They beat them worse than Ole Miss beat ULM, not worse than State - State got beat the f down!
I have a hard time talking smack with our loss to Vandy on the resume. I can't guarantee the D-Line will kill folks after watching the South Carolina game. But my goodness! How can you talk any smack after getting throttled like TTech did against OU? How do you talk any smack after that?!

Well there is a possible monkey wrench out there. It's isn't unheard of the Mizzou beats Oklahoma, and OU winds up in the Cotton Bowl.

Ole Miss people have nothing to fear about this match-up. Tech is playing flat right now. Miss is on a high. I think the Miss D-line is the strongest Tech will see all year. I also do not think Tech will stop your running game particularly the wildrebel and a month of practice. I'm gonna say 38-31

I don't blame them for not thinking too much about this match-up. They beat us the last two times we met AND we had Eli. They rode a high all year until they ran into OU and now at 11-1 they are not only out of the NCG but out of the BCS altogether.
Honestly I kind of like it that they take us for granted. Will make it that much more satisfying when the Rebels get after them.

The difference this time is we do not have Eli but we have on hell of a defense and that is what killed us the last couple of times. Once we get in that QB's face and knock him down a few times he will think twice about throwing the ball.
