with 20,909 sold this year (they have a total of 21,500 for sale) compared to less than 18,000 sold in 2004 according to the Ole Miss sports site (link: http://www.olemisssports.com/ViewArticl ... EM_ID=2600)

This is the most tickets that Ole Miss has ever sold for a post season bowl. They do expect a full capacity crowd of 88,175

and found that neither Nebraska nor Auburn sold their 12,500 ticket allotment in 2005. Also, in 1993, Notre Dame sold 12,000 to the Cotton Bowl. In 1999 Kansas State sold 14,000 tickets to the Cotton Bowl. I just typed in most ticket sales for the Cotton Bowl, and several random articles came up yielding the above ticket sales figures. Doesn't look like our sales number of approx. 21,000 is too shabby.

If the weather is decent at all, we'll have 30,000 cheering the Rebs to victory. LOT"S of people bought direct from CB site and LOT"S of "neutral" spectators will be against Tech

I think there will be lots of Texas, Texas A&M and maybe some oklahoma fans there that bought tickets. If i know anything about living in big 12 country they will call for ole miss to rip off tech's heads and throw them down their mouths. What do you guys think? its nothing like the sec where come bowl season you always cheer for sec teams. Even if it is Miss Skate

I agree. It's nothing like hearing S E C ,S E C ,S E C, S E C chanted in the fourth qtr of non conference games. Sends chills down my spine 8)

More people at the game, yelling S E C, matters not if you don't win. That's all I care about, a win.
You've just got to learn from the wrong things you've done. I came off the rebound, started looking around, figured out it's time to have a little fun.

On College Gameday in Atlanta two weeks ago, people were doing the SEC SEC SEC chant in between their UF and UA chants. I thought it was pretty lame considering it was two SEC teams playing each other and 95% of the people there supported a SEC team.

I imagine it was more to do with the SEC being the OBVIOUS top two teams in the country at the time.

Yeah, I would've joined in on that chant.
I believe that man will not merely endure: he will prevail. He is immortal, not because he alone among creatures has an inexhaustible voice, but because he has a soul, a spirit capable of compassion and sacrifice and endurance.

Yea thats kinda the point, Rub it in their Big 10, Big 12, Pac 10 ectect faces while winning in the 4th qtr. The UGA fans did it loud last year against Hawaii.

I want to run the ball behind M Oher's rear end and control the ball for 40 min. I want Harrell to be able to smell the breath of all our D linemen. I want I want victory! A victory that these seniors can leave with that makes every practice every game every article they read for all the other years worth every drop of sweat they put into being an Ole Miss Rebel worth its weight in gold!
