Tulane starters could be 2nd team in the SEC? That is true for many of them, but far from all of them. Do you have any idea how many Tulane players are in the NFL right now? More than you'd think. Heck, Jeremy Williams just ran a pint return for 93 yards the night before last.
Until you can come up with some kind of pass rush, I wouldn't get too cocky about next weekend. Just my opinion.
I am not being cocky at all... because I saw some of our D backs sitting up the stands beside me on a few of their pass plays, but our pass rush sat this one out... don't worry... your Qb will have a bruise or two after the game. Lockett will make the entire front... promise you that.
I don't know about the "Rebel Faithful", but that game was a tale of 2 halves. What I saw is a defense passionate about playing ball and playing with wreckless abandon. I also so an offense that was running on all cylinders! Then the second half we decided to slow the game down an run out the clock. The offense sputtered and the defense lacked the passion of the first half! This game does remind me of the State game last year! We were looking toward the bowl game and not looking at the game at hand... Do I count this season as a loss? No, I think it's embarrassing enough for those guys and they will come out fighting harder! I see us at 4-1 going into the bye week and we are going to upset a few teams in the later months of the schedule. We have a rich tradition and I'm not going to cry over spilt milk! I'm looking forward to seeing the Rebels play next week! Go Rebels!
I know how to Motivate them...Nutt needs to put up all the news articles all over the locker room from now until the end of the season. If they fly somewhere..paste it all over the plane..if they take a bus plaster the score on the side. They need to know to play to the final snap.

Don't get me wrong, the SEC has a LOT more talent, but sometimes I think ya'll imagine yourselves in some kind of bubble that is quite ridiculous. Did yesterday not prove ANYthing? I once had a LSU fan try to tell me that Boise State would come in dead last in the SEC. Would they be undefeated, no way in heck. But LAST? Really?!?! The SEC may well be the best conference in the country. But it isn't on some special planet either.

Well of course Tulane has players in the NFL, heck there are even junior college players in the NFL!
And by the way, I know you are in New Orleans and all, but we already have a patent on the PINT RETURN!!!! LOL It's an Ole Miss original!!! The question is, "what's that Ole Miss fan got in that PINT???? LMAO

I agree somewhat. Most of the weaker teams have some very good players. It usually isn't the starters (at least all but one or two) that keep them at a lower level but rather a lack of depth.
