I am a life long Rebel, have seen the "revolving door" spit out every coach we have had since
John Vaught. that "revolving door" is why we are not a top tier SEC team now.
I have grown to hate that door because it keeps us down. hate to say it but now is the time,Houston Nutt,Danny Nutt,Mike Markuson,David Lee,all should have bin handed there buyout at the bus yesterday and told to call a cab to get there @** home.
let Gunter Brewer call the rest of this year and hope for the best.

P.S. chuck I love the idea of Archie as A.D.!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! that would rock!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I agree....hand it to Gunter now and see what happens.....It can not get worse, maybe he would know the true meaning of Rebel Pride!

I just think that we should hire Jim Tressel, he is a proven coach and would do backflips if we offered him a job at a sec school.

No former head coaches with NCAA baggage please!

Rumor has it Peterson has a child with some medical issues that she gets taken care of at a Boise State hospital. Peterson has supposedly said he will not leave BSU because of everything they have done for his daughter. I think if he were going to leave, he already would have. Some other school would have come calling with a HUGE contract.

Leach is a wack job. An entertaining wack job but a wack job nonetheless. I would take June Jones over Leach. But if I had to pick one today, think Holtz or Austin would be my pick. Think those are realistic. Diaz is not ready, neither is Harsen. Peterson's not leaving the smurfs for us.

Ideal combo for me would be Manning and Austin. Austin's relative youth and offensive experience and Archie's ability to bring a somewhat fractured fan base together combined with both of their love for Ole Miss sounds pretty d*** good to me.

Why does everyone keep saying Kirby Smart, Heck NO! Jon Gruden, HECK NO! What have they done, and dont say such and such will never come here, because money talks, you can get a coach to coach anywhere for the right price and if its an SEC job that makes it that more attractive. Go BIG or dont go at all, I would give Butch Davis, Mike Gundy, June Jones, and Kevin Sumlin all calls and make em tell me no. Who would think Spurrier would be at SC about 10 years ago.

How much money do you have that you are going to be able to contribute to the coach's salary?

Boone has to go first. If Boone gets to make the hire it will just be more of the same.

What has Kirby Smart done? Proven himself for 12 years as an assistant coach. studied under Nick Saban and Bobby Bowden. Been part of a national championship. Coaches the top defense in the nation year after year.
