Imagine what that team would have been able to accomplish with the QB they were practicing with all year. Masoli came in last minute and made his lack of knowing the plays very clear the first few weeks, 30 a game or not.MageeRebel425 wrote:mpzreb17 wrote:Nutt runs off with 6 million. In retrospect should have been:
2008 - 10 win season
2009 - 11 win season
2010 no masoli - 11-13 win season?2011 - now we'd be down hill.
You think we would have won 11-13 games without Masoli? We averaged 30 points per game with him. Soooo I'm guessing without him we would have averaged the 36 points per game to offset the worst defense I have ever seen us have? 36 is what we gave up per game last year defensively. Masoli was not the problem last year, we would have been a million times worse without him. Jacksonville state dropped 49, UT 52 with a true freshman qb.
We should respect coach Nutt and thank him for his time here

I think Nutt deserves to finish his career in the SEC. What to you say, MSU? Hire Nutt! Mullet hasn't done great this year, and Nutt would be a great fit. Plus it's not that far of a move geographically.
Thanks for extending our 12 game "school record" SEC losing streak......Love him or Hate him...We had to make a change! I am just thankful that the search committee is finalized and moving forward. I hope we act swiftly and try to salvage the recruiting season. How you can recruit as a lame duck coach is beyond my understanding. Go Rebs.
