The Aggies are starting to put some stuff together, and build some momentum.
That said, this is our first road test in the SEC, against a team that had a really good showing last week. I don't think this one will be easy for the Aggies, or Manziel.
Hope the Aggie can pull it off.
Good luck against us

Aggies are like Arkansas. Once they get somewhat decent they start chanting "We are the world". Let's see how they react if the injury and turnover bug strikes them this season. It is never a comforting position to be reliant on a freshman QB and I guess a sophomore JUCO QB either, but life stands still until you wake up.
Good Luck to the Aggies but you can leave the gig'em in your past conference we don't have any cattle mascots around these parts. Eventhough I was for the Ole Miss Brahama Bulls in the mascot debate.

Yes but they don't make them their mascot. They only sleep with them.Titles 'R Us wrote:But StrongRebel, there is a pasture in Stankville where cattle roam freely.StrongRebel wrote:Aggies are like Arkansas. I assure you, we don't.Aggies are like Arkansas. Once they get somewhat decent they start chanting "We are the world"
Most of us are so used to getting our hopes up, and then seeing them fade just as quick....we still have a hard time believing we'll win, even when we should.
Dont judge us based on the OP.
99% of us aren't taking anything for granted.....Most of us are excited to be in the SEC, and excited to play teams like Ole Miss. We're looking forward to taking it all in this weekend, and are hoping to come away with a win.

Not saying that it will be easy, but I always expect a win. If you go in expecting to lose, we'll then you already have...
What is the saying " if you think you can or can't; you're right"

Just play'n. We might not have Bama's D, but our offense is light years ahead of anybody you've played thus far.
Gig'em and Hotty Toddy. Hoping for a great game with no injuries.
SEC 4ever.
You've Lit up: South Carolina State, SMU and ARK. Congrats:)
I think Sumlin is the real deal. Manziel seems to have a lot of promise. It's understandable that Tamu fans are excited. Has been a while since they've done anything of notice. They did a great job last week in destroying my depleted piggies. Tamu was the better team..............that's not saying much though. ha
OM will play a lot harder than Ark and defensively may have more talent than Ark at this time. Tamu should win the game but the rest of their schedule will provide a heavy dose of reality.
Life in the SEC isn't about a one week high or low. It's about the continuous pounding and struggles week to week. I think Sumlin will get Tamu to a nice place. It's always better to go to another board to "brag" when your 3 wins are over legit opponents though.

You do realize that 'Bama didn't beat us by that much at their place last week, don't you? And they had a bogus TD awarded to them to get to the 19-point margin. Spread was 30, BTW. 'Bama was outscored 7-6 in the second half. This season is going to be a reality check for the Aggies and Mizzou, playing week in and week out in the best league in the land. Mizzou has already gotten their faceful of cold water twice--against Georgia and South Carolina. Will this be the weekend you get yours?Centexfan wrote:The game will be good.. I'm just one Aggie and I don't speak for all of us, though many of us see it this way. We have the talent to beat anybody in the SEC, but we are in the realization process. Obviously LSU and Bama are the two programs accustomed to winning championships. They are the targets, and we'll be the ones crashing their little party. We have the resources and the will, and we'll be cherry-picking the best recruits in Texas. Everyone between us and the two targets, are rungs.
That said, there's no reason why we can't have an entertaining game this weekend and a dang good SEC atmosphere.
3 TDs sounds about right.
