Man, it would be hilarious if the Gator AND the Music City passed on State. Per ESPN, they lost 4 of their last 5 by at least 17 points. The only win they had against a FBS school with a winning record was Middle Tennessee. Ouch!
All of their SEC wins were against SEC teams that are not going to a bowl and coaches have been fired.

We are ALMOST in the same category but.....we beat them......and we are "rebuilding with a new coach" rather than "should be rolling in year 4"

.....and honestly, their biggest win this year was against Tennessee. Again, at the moment we cannot say too much because we beat nearly the same teams but again, rebuilding with a new coach vs 4th year
Two of their SEC wins were vs. teams that went 0-8.....and the only teams they beat with a winning record at all were Middle Tenn. and ........wait for it......wait for it......Jackson State. teehee.

We did beat a ranked opponent though. Technically. Pretty much embarrassed the #25 team.

Two tweets from the reporter at WATH on this possible match up:

Once more, I have it from a good source it is a strong possibility Ohio-Ole Miss in the BBVA Compass Bowl & may be close to a done deal.

One of the interesting propositions for Ohio is the long layoff and possible return of some previously injured players. Still waiting conf.

I going to be happy no matter where we go. Music city is better locale, prestige, facilities, etc. But if it's Birmingham I'll just throw some extra clips in the glovebox and head to the game!
Forward Rebels!
