I can agree with everything you said...our mindset isn't the greatest because we have been thru 50 years of mediocrity... none of this can be changed in less than a 5 yr span...lets get consistant and then we can talk... nothing was lost in this game... we can get there but we still gotta learn to be supportive and patient.

I was also disappointed in the fans especially the students and the season tix holders that obviously sold to Mo. fans.

I can agree with some of what cal565 said, but I don't agree we were still in the game with 8:00 left. We were out of the game from the moment Mizzou picked up the first down on a fake field goal! You could argue we still had a chance after that, but after Mizzou's last TD, there was little chance of a comeback. The defense never showed back up. I personally make it a point not to leave games early, but I understand fans being sick of watching a losing battle and believe it's ultimately the coaches job to keep fans in their seats! Great coaches do that, and I don't blame the fan base.

I adamantly disagree that nothing was lost in this game. We ended a 4 game win streak, we dropped out of the top 25, instead of being tied for 3rd in the West, we now own 5th place... f you don't think that will effect bowl bids your kidding yourself), the way we lost killed any momentum we had going into the MSU game. Other than that, nothing lost.

Whatever you want to argue, you can't argue this fact: "The team was not prepared!" That falls on one man's shoulders.

I agree.....I was disappointed in the mass exodus at half time.....not sure WHY people do not want to support their team for the ENTIRE game!!!

As for still being in the game at the 8:00 min mark....the radio guys said in the post game..." that the air had gone out not only the players but the coaching staff" I agree that people leaving the game has to affect both the players and the coaching staff.

I didn't sit in my season ticket spot. My friend ended up coming and he had extra tickets in the G section(around row 31) so we sat there so we could all sit together(didn't sell my tickets, tried to give them away to Rebel fans).

We were asked to sit down several times by the people a few rows behind us. At one point, my buddy just turned around and said "NO!".

There were two guys directly behind us that had to be the most idiotic, uninformed fans I have heard ramble on about how we weren't playing well. Here's a sample.

"Our receivers make Wallace look better than he actually is." Stupid

R Knemdiche clearly made a tackle for a loss and one dude said:
"Watch if RN was anywhere near that play, they'll give him credit for it." Announcer says RN on the tacke. "SEE!"
Other dude:
"Is he any good?"
First dude:
"Eh, he's OK." Almost said something at this point.

All that being said. The crowd was bad. But, IMO, there is nothing wrong with criticizing a man making millions of dollars to make the right play call. Nobody is saying fire him. Not even close. There was some questionable play calling last night, but it wasn't the difference in the game. It was just an all-around poor effort. I think it's the worst we've played as a team all year. I'm not saying we should've won that game, but we just didn't look right and I think we should've been 'in it' more than we were.

I still wonder why we didn't let Brunetti throw more passes. Especially since Bo was sick. It just felt like Freeze had kinda of given up.

So the play calling didn't make a difference? We had first and goal at the 1 yd line on two different possessions and got 3 points total out of those two possessions. Now maybe those 11 points that the play calling left on the field weren't enough to win, but they sure as heck would haven been enough to keep the fans in their seats and in the game until the final buzzer. Never underestimate the impact that has on the players. Yes, there were some dropped balls and mistakes, but ultimately I think the play calling did cost us the game.
