if it means anything to you I heard a report from someone supposedly in the know that Powe has received his "Good to go Papers" from the SEC yesterday about 5 pm...It isn't official yet but I am told he got the word yesterday. Good news if true. This is strictly rumor and unofficial.

As you say this would be great news. No one has worked any harder. Talk about perseverance!

Alright TCounty, to make it ineteresting and at least a little challenging maybe instead of putting the days left, you can use the name of a current or former Rebel who has the jersey number that correlates with the remaining days.

For instance, tomorrow will be 77 days until kickoff. Instead, you can say "Chris Cottam" #77 Class of '81.

Just a thought

I do still kind of get a little choked up when I think about Mean Joe saying "hey kid" and tossing him that jersey in the Coke commercial.

And who can forget Howie Long in those Radio Shack commercials...NOT!

Okay, upon further review Mean Joe accepted, but still walk off 15 yards for Howie Long....I mean come on, didn't he go to Villanova or something like that 8)

Yup, Villanova, indeed. But, c'mon Chuck, non Reb, sure (and I did indeed understand your suggestion that the countdown numerals should be former or current Rebels) But this is Howie Long, a good citizen, a fine Father, a good analyst, and a bona-fide great player (as much as that pains me to say as a life-long Bronco fan).

Offsetting fouls, maybe?? 1st and ten...
