I still wonder what Nutt is gonna say at 4 PM that he "wants the team to hear from me (Nutt), before they read about it."
The past two years we've had one of the top defenses in the country with Nix at the helm. Nix's biggest problem this year is that he kept trying to scheme as if he had the same players as last year and the year before and didn't adapt to the talent he had, at least not quick enough to stop the bleeding. Based on his past success, I do not favor firing him after one bad year, but he darn sure better learn from the bad year. If we don't stop turning the ball over and improve our coverage teams, it won't matter who our defensive coordinator is. No defense can survive consistently being put in bad situations. Opponents have started with great field position all year.
No you're wrong. FIRE HIM. FIRE EM ALL. I really wish solving the problems on this FB team were as easy as firing the staff.
Some of the biggest problems have already been corrected and some are in the works. The nature of this game is such that you're never quite sure if you've exorcised all the demons until you suit up and play. For those wanting blood, I can almost guarantee you that there will be staff changes but they probably won't deliver the heads that you want on the platter. For those upset about attrition, I can tell you that almost surely between now and the BYU game, there will be some more players leave.

Why are they leaving? Who do these star athletes not get along with?
------------------

Many of these kids come from situations in high schools where, just because they are star athletes, there is very little discipline or accountability when it comes to both academics and personal behavior. In other words, they get away with murder. And when placed in a situation where there IS accountability and discipline, some simply cannot handle the change.

I figured they were just looking to get into a pay-for-play program!

What are you guys drinking? Where in the world are you getting the idea that Ole Miss will ever be some kind of powerhouse in football, especially in the SEC? I get loyalty but come on! The only place Nutt won consistantly was Boise State and they have always won because of their pitilful schedule. At Arkansas he only had winning seasons due to scheduling pee wee teams. He would lose games he shouldn't and win one or two that he should have probably lost. He takes over a team loaded with talent and brings them down to mediocre. He only had Arkansas ranked in the top 20 end of season twice in the ten years he was there. History will repeat itself at Ole Miss. And by the way, if you think going to the Independence Bowl is some kind of reward, you have got to get out more.

Nutt was only at Boise State for one year. You really need to make sure that you know what you are talking about before you post.

This guy was no pigee. He didn't have any facts that were true. True Hog fans would have far more specific reasons to dislike Nutt but those distorted facts could describe just about any coach.

Not all true painter. Some of your "true" pig fans have come over here with some of the most stupid, racist vile imaginable from any fanbase we've seen. We've kept some of it in the vault for later use.
