Probably right. Kelly was off target in the second half and missed some wide open receivers in the first half. If he holds onto the ball, we probably win, but we will never know.

I think it comes down to two things. Yes, turnovers probably was the difference but also time of possession . If you are going to run the up tempo stuff you better be loaded on the defensive side of the ball. Three and outs in the tempo game is a disaster for anyone playing defense. We aren't deep enough to play two thirds of the game on defense against good teams. The good thing to come out of the FSU game is that we should know that we can play with or beat any team in the nation on any given day. We turned the ball over three times on the wrong end of the field and it cost us.

Our up tempo is misleading. I only see it after a good play that either got us a first down or far enough to make a first down more likely. We do run straight back to the line regardless of the outcome just to make them do the same but the snap usually doesn't come quick. Usually that's because of an incomplete pass so the clock isn't running. Three incomplete passes and you only ran 15 seconds off the clock, Lsu could do that in 3 seconds, but actual time is about the same as any other 3 and out. We even had 2 too much time calls. Defense doesn't get near as tired when we get first downs. Just like any other team. I like what we do cause the other team's d doesn't get time to strut around after they make a play. If they aren't set kelly will get it snapped.

There is some truth in what you are saying. The problem is your offense and defensive philosophies need to connect and ours don't at the moment. Our defense is based on very complex and often deep zones. A lot of the time we are bend don't break defense. If your offense is high powered and up tempo, it benefits you to attack defensively, with the idea that if you force your opponent into a few mistakes, your offense can outscore them because of turnovers or negative plays. Florida State ran 29 more offensive plays. Turnovers and TOP, story of the game.

Experienced corners or not move them up to be in a receivers face. Our d line will get pressure so take away the quick pass best you can. If they get one over the top so be it. Our d gets immediate rest. As you see I do agree with you. If they keep going over the top they better have plenty of back up qbs cause they will take a beating. Most qbs lose accuracy as they get hit. That willy Beamer looking fsu qb could take a lick.

Wommack needs to quit running the crap prevent he runs. I hope Freeze takes a LONG look at his assistants, and see where we can improve. We have some coaches that have no business coaching in the SEC. We were badly out coached Monday night. Crap like that won't get it. Ball's in your court Freeze, just do it.
