This season has been a big disappointment, considering the talent we have. Nutt will get us back to the 6-6, 8-4 records but not much more. He'll do about what he did at ARK but we wont win championships.

It is highly unlikely that we will ever win championships again. Us, State, Arky, SC, Kentucky and Vandy are not likely to win SEC championships in football. Nutt will max out our program's potential. He did it at Arky and he'll do it here. But we may have trouble with State as long as Mullen is there. He is going to be a great coach. I'm afraid he is going to out recruit us too.

Well we are out of excuses. For years all I heard out of coaches was the facilities. We couldnt compete because that, Then it was the flag. It really just boils down to the coach as Sabin has now proven twice.

Do you not realize that if your offense executes and actually stays on the field that their power game doesn't have as much of a chance to wear the defense down. Dixon is a great running back...you can't keep giving the ball back to him with punts and interceptions.

Then we would have had seven more ponts and take away the pick six and we would be in overtime...

The defense got run over, but if we can not see how Snead continues to kill us at crucial times that might make the defense's job easier from a field position and time of possession situation, we are in denial. The key to slowing an amazing player like Dixon down is to limit the time his offense is actually on the field OR match his scores. Our offense did neither...becaus of our QB.

And as disappointed as I am...let's get a little perspective. Just two years ago, we did not win an SEC game....we have the right coaching staff...we have lots of talented players...defensive players and offensive line are very young....our young receivers showed what they can do in spurts today when their QB decides to actually look their way...Bolden, Scott, Davis pretty d*** good RB's and Grandy can play the wild cat role. Young linebackers will only get better and this bowl practice with Nix will be huge.

The only thing that really scares me about the immediate future is Snead. His play is schizo and there are no consequences for him or changes made when he screws up. He may be the most coddled QB in SEC history. That is the only issue I have ever had with this coaching staff, which I love otherwise.

OM got beat up front today. That was a huge surprise. The West just got that much tougher cause Mullen seems to know what he's doing. MSU won't win the west the next couple of seasons but they'll be a tough out.

Completely agree. And the coaching staff needs to have a serious "Come to Jesus" talk with Snead during the off-season.

Snead should quit the team or play third string next year

We will see if this is just a case of such an emotional build up to a game. They do lose Dixon. But he is certainly better than his predecessor.

Good point. They may take a step back next season depending on their schedule. But, he has a good staff and system in place. If he can recruit, he can do some things.

I am not sold on his qb's but when you run the ball that well like they did today and last week. They don't have to be stud passers.

Dixon is a great player and we are all glad he's gone.

Regardless, the WEST is brutal

State probably burned two or three games this year...planning for this one. I'm serious.

They are determined to make us notice them (acknowledge them as our rival)...as the horn sounded the Jumbotron showed Anthony Dixon scoring (still shot...post card type) with " From Dixon, With Love" signed in script.

He will be even worse next year
