Some good write ups from yesterday's games. Ole Miss gets some good press here. State's struggling, but they always seem to struggle some early, except for 2 years ago when they started strong and missed the Hoover. Seems like Polk always tinkers with the lineup early in the year, of course, that's the best time to do it.

The SEC is off to a hot start, except for State. Drop a game to Air Force (who won all of 2 games all of last season!) at home and then follow it up with a loss to UALR at home! Wow...

How 'bout Auburn? Sure, they got swept 4 straight by FSU over the weekend, but it's FSU after all. But other than that they're just rolling along. And UK's off to another hot start. Wasn't too many years ago they couldn't buy a win. Now they're a legit competitor for the SEC title every year.

State is by far the biggest surprise in the early going. Sure, they never start strong, but losing to Air Force AND UALR? Something's wrong there.

At this point, I'm not counting State out of anything. Look at there football team. Then, there basketball starts off horribly and now they're looking at another West title. And they do have Ron Polk. Just saying.

Heard that. We seem to be polar opposites. We start hot and collapse in Basketball, they start slow and get wound up late. We just tank the season altogether in Football, and they have a good one.

Let's hope the same isn't true in Baseball. We need to stay on track. I know we'll drop a game here and there, and it's a possibility that we'll lose a series somewhere along the line (SC and UGA and UK will be tough OTR), but if we keep our heads up and stay focused on the task at hand, I think we'll do VERY well this season.
