Any chance he could pitch in relief for a couple of innings tomorrow if needed? He didn't come in until the 8th inning tonight. I'd feel better knowing he is available tomorrow.

I rarely post on this portion of the forum, given that I heart Baseball so much it is hard to discuss, but, these are the Rebels that generated so much excitment pre-season. I am excited!

I think Bittle probably could go an inning or two tomorrow, but his stuff was real weak tonight. Sure he punched out 4 strikeouts, but he also gave up a homer and a couple other hits.

He needs to sit until next weekend if at all possible, but if we're in a tight one late tomorrow, don't be surprised if the nation's best closer (IMO) is out there again against LSU.

As far as the championship game goes. Well, someone has to snap the Tiger win streak. Why not us? While I still don't expect to win, I won't be shocked if we do win. Nothing will shock me any more. Not the way this week has gone.

My Players of the Tournament to this point for the Rebels:

Bittle - An outstanding outing on Wednesday and got the job done tonight
Henry - Seeing the ball very well at the plate
Guerrero - 4 homers in 4 games...WONDERFUL!
Cryer - Pitched an absolutely amazing game, though in a losing effort this morning.
Ferguson - 2 triples in 4 games

Several others has done very well (Basham defensively and M. Smith in clutch ABs coming up with homers), but those are the 5 that just stand out to me.
GO REBELS!!!
