Farragut High School senior left-hander Jordan Cooper has committed to the University of Mississippi.
Cooper passed on scholarship offers from Kentucky, Arkansas and LSU - three of nine SEC programs, including Tennessee, which recruited him.
He went 7-1 with three saves and a 1.20 ERA during Farragut's run to another Class AAA state championship. He struck out 84 batters in 52.33 innings, walking 12.
Cooper's stuff was on full display when he struck out 13, gave up two hits and walked one in a five-inning game against Ravenwood at the state tournament.
