How many here would have liked to see us score one more TD?

put it in for one more because its LSU and they would have done it to us AND tried for an onside kick. 8)

The way I look at it is this... give a guy a chance to score a TD who has earned that opportunity. It is not running up the score if we just run it up the middle and they can't stop that...

the knee is a humiliating kick in the pride. They know we could have scored, we know we could have scored and now they have a year to remember that we took a knee on them. If we had scored, they would have moaned and groaned about us running it up. Now they have nothing but the knee of pity.

Class over brash and trash....any day....any opponent! Rise above!

Nothing to do with class and everything to do with playing football.

The goal of the offense is to score.
The goal of the defense is to prevent the opponent from scoring.
You don't want the opposing team in your end-zone, then you stop them.
This is football gentlemen, not croquet.

It is not football to rub an opponent's face in a victory in hand with less than a minute left in that victory, or to risk anything in the attempt to do so.

I wanted the score, but understood not going for it. LSU was starting to play kinda nasty at that point (Nevis was trying to hurt someone on those kneels), so why take the chance of injury when you already have put a beat down on them. I also agree that taking the knee at that point kind sends a message of "hey we are gonna take mercy on you, little tigers, you have had enough for one day."

and I agree with it, Those 3 knees upset the cordoggers worse than 3 more touchdowns

You are 100% correct, I know this, but , it was LS-freakin'-U! I sure wish the score was just a wee bit higher than it was.

Exactly why I love it. It's basically saying "you know, we could score but, we're already whoopin' your ass so we don't so much need the points."

We should have punched it in as payback for 2005.

Normally I take the high road and take the knee. But since we're talking about corndogs, I would have enjoyed punching it in, going for a 2 pt conversion, on-side kick recovery and scoring another 7. But that's just me...
