I know he is fast, but I dont know. Check this out

Mike Wallace, WR, Ole Miss

Current status: Late rounder.

Rang says: "If he works out well he could really jump up. There's some quiet buzz that he could break combine record for fastest 40 ever. He has Chris Johnson type of speed.''

He's been working with Michael Johnson...

Either way-It's doing something very important...forcing media exposure, which leads to scout talk as well.
I believe that man will not merely endure: he will prevail. He is immortal, not because he alone among creatures has an inexhaustible voice, but because he has a soul, a spirit capable of compassion and sacrifice and endurance.

Wallace ran a 4.28 in his first of two 40s. Came back with a 4.38.
You've just got to learn from the wrong things you've done. I came off the rebound, started looking around, figured out it's time to have a little fun.

It says 4.33 but I know thats still unofficial. Really good vertical at 40.0.

The 4.33 is official. AVerage of the two runs.

It wasn't the fastest 40 ever. Heyward-Bey ran 4.30 today and Chris Johnson from the Titans ran 4.24 last year.

Read the post buddy. This was somebody thinking Mike Wallace could do that. I kinda thought Heyward Bey was faster and possibly Maclin (didnt run). IMO, Heyward-Bey is the 2nd best WR behind Crabtree. Watched him play twice and he caught a slip screen and I knew when he blasted through for a long TD, this guy was good. And I know the 4.24 by Johnson was the fastest Combine 40.

Just checking...not too many people keep up with the NFL on here, especially combine numbers.

Then, enlighten me on a few questions i have, please:

1- Do they really think Stafford could go #1? He's a choke star in my opinion and can't lead a team to the big win.....

2- How far does Smith drop after leaving combine? does this affect Oher?

3- What's the word on Sanford? How high is he guessed to go?

4- Any other Rebels being considered?

Thanks, in advance.....just some things i've wondered and haven't had the time to look up......

Stafford is #1 plain and simple. He has all the physical tools. Thats what matters, bc it is hard to predict a QBs intangibles, so they go by physical skills. And who should beat Satfford out. Curry? Crabtree? Jason Smith? I think Josh Freeman will end up being better than Sanchez and Stafford, but Im in the minority.

Smith is said to fall outta the first possibly, but no one honestly knows yet. Oher is now ahead of him

Sanford could get drafted in the 6-7 rounds but will probably be a UFA. Which is good for him bc he can kinda pick which team he wants to play for. Look how BJGE did as a UFA.
Others
A Palmer - Late rounds or UFA
Oher and Peria - Mid to late 1st (Im sure you knew that)
M Wallace - Late 2nd - early 3rd
T Fein - possible UFA - will get a shot at training camp

Thanks for the info.......NOW, i gotta watch the stinkin' draft.....

I'm one of those that builds the offense starting at the QB position (so, i see about Stafford) and on the defense, start with DT....so, i'd be all over Peria if i were an NFL scout.
