Good start for Buck. After hitting the first batter, strikes out the side.

For some reason, I don't ever feel good about this game. I think it is because we should beat them by 10 runs, but it never seems to go that way. I usually feel much better about the weekend series' games.Chucky_38 wrote:On paper I believe we should beat the heck out of them. But I feel like Cohen's hatred of Ole Miss will be a factor. It will be close...but I think we pull out the win.

Rebs turned double plays to end the 7th and the 8th (top). Just now up to bat bottom of 8th. Doggers scoreless since the first inning.
They are scoreless since2nd inning, but still awesome either way.rebelliousb wrote:Rebs turned double plays to end the 7th and the 8th (top). Just now up to bat bottom of 8th. Doggers scoreless since the first inning.
Goforth on to close it down. Glad to see out Freshmen getting some PT. If someone can tell, can we get a velocity on his pitches? Gametracker doesn't show that much detail.
Hats off to Buk and Rory. They did great.

He's been clocked at 97 mph this year. Not sure 'bout last niteHeath wrote:Way to go Goforth. 2 K's in 1 IP. Not bad, just gotta cut down on the walks.
Wow. That's pumpin' gas. I guess he is similar to Satterwhite, but I am hoping Goforth has a little more control over his fastballs than Satterwhite did.rebelliousb wrote:He's been clocked at 97 mph this year. The Mayor's Trophy/Governor's Cup has been the highlight of pitchers. Who can forget a lowly Will Kline who could barely stay in a game more than 3 innings, then steps up with a monster game in the Mayor's Trophy. He goes on to become one of the top staff aces in the nation.
Buk had a tremendous night with a career high 11 strikeouts and was just in control of the hitters. It's just a shame that he's a SR this year. I sincerely hope he gets a good look by the Draft. I'm confident he'll be drafted, I just hope he goes as high as he deserves. Unfortunately his lack of big-time play due to injuries in the past will probably keep him from going very high.
