Due to travel restrictions the final inning of today's game was the 8th, but that was all the Rebels needed to finish off the Gators 5-3 and take the series.

Bittle struggled at times, but managed to stay out there long enough to give us a 5-3 lead then Morgan came in and finished it up. Good win on the road! At the very worst we will remain 1 game behind LSU and 1/2 a game behind the pigs of Arky in the West. Depending on how the games finish up today we could find ourselves in better position than that!

So, if LSU loses, that will give us identical records of 11-7 in the SEC. BUT, Arkansas is beating Georgia in the top of the 8th 2-0. If they win, they will lead LSU and Ole Miss by 1/2 game. Alabama is only one game behind us though, so we need to watch them too.

BTW the Rebels will resume action on Tuesday night as they host UA-LR at home then will travel to Hattiesburg in a make-up game against USM on Wednesday before taking on the UGA Dawgs next weekend in Oxford.

Exactly. And with UGA coming into town next weekend (who will no doubt still be #1 in a poll or two), we've GOT to be ready to take them down. Lose the series and we could be looking at 4th or worse in the West and dangerously on the bubble for the SEC Tourney already in April. It's shaping up to be a really wild finish in the West.

My how one week can change things in SEC baseball.

Great to pick up the series. Glad Bittle settled down after the 1st. He had me worried, a very shaky start.
Nutt calls the formation the Wild Rebel. Which sure beats the heck out of Orgeron's Wild Boys.
