All you pig fans who come on here are hypocrites and let me explain why. First of all I remember before the 08 season began you lit up our board on how we would all hate Nutt for what ever reasons and you all said "watch he'll *beep* up right off the bat"....well thats when you had that shoved up your ass! Nutt led us to a 9 win season and to one of the best bowls in the country! And then for some odd reason yall stopped coming here because you realized that you were wrong all along and the problem was that Housten nutt did for arkansas what no other coach had done there...HE WON! Housten Nutt took you to the sec championship game twice (more then any other arky coach since the current format began)

They have taken their hatred of Nutt to far for sure. There is no reason for them to post on our boards and talk about a coach that is two years removed from their school. But they just got tired of Nutt's teams being so inconsistent. Thats what it came down too. They wanted more than he was giving. We did the same thing with Cutcliffe. I remember when 7 win seasons made me sick. Now I am just hoping we can win 7 again this year. If Rebel fans expect Nutt to produce team's like Saban's or Meyer's, it won't happen. I think that is the main message from Arky fans. Even though we don't care and did not ask for their opinions.

Piece of advice...ignore them. They won't go away but it will make your time here more enjoyable.

I can't speak for the pig fans that are drawing your ire, but I can say that anyone who predicted y'all would be disappointed in your first year, was not paying attention to Nutt's first year in Fayetteville. He did great the first two years for us, it was the last 8 that were an issue. I think you guys are starting to see why, and I'm not saying that vindictively or trying to start something. I actually kind of like the Rebels, have a few friends that went to school there.

Dalhog, just in case you don’t know that is not a call for help.

These hypothetical hog fans are living in the Springdale Arkansas (NWA) area that feel like their local High School coach got a raw deal three years ago and and are taking it out on Coach Nutt. To the degree that they would still vent their frustrations and propaganda on another board is nothing short of stalking and should be ordered immediately for a mental health exam.

I hope things are different for you guys, I really do. I have never talked smack to Ole Miss fans.

I actually thought he had changed a few things that held him back at Arkansas and might turn into the great coach we hoped he could become for 10 years at arkansas. But after seeing the stuff about him calling the plays, Snead's rough start and him talking about it being easy "to make the calls from row 35" or whatever he said the other day, I don't expect much to change. That's the same old song and dance we saw year after year.

I have a lot of Ole Miss friends and truly want great things for your University. It is not a good place, but a GREAT place. I just think he is going to drive you guys crazy like he did people in arkansas. The only difference is, he doesn't have all of the good ole boy ties in Mississippi and you guys will cut him lose sooner than we did.

We will see London Pig. Ya know ole Bum Phillips said there are two kinds of coaches. Those about to be fired and those who just got fired. Well, take that salt and round glass a margarita with it. We look back and we can count ten years of coaches that we think Nutt is better than. Maybe more. His last three years are cap one, cotton and cotton bowls. Not a bad resume in the sec. Do we expect to win a NC? I can't think of anybody who should expect to win one. It takes more than talent. It takes a lot of luck with a special moment or dozen to make it happen. Do we think we can win with Houston Nutt? Simple answer. Yes. Sometimes folks ask if we will be disapointed if we go 8-4. I don't know about everybody else but I get disapointed whenever we lose a game. I know its not realistic to be like some fans of other teams and think we will win them all but it is nice to go into a game thinking we have a chance. Yes I do want to win them all. Yes I think Nutt can be a winner cause he has done it in the past. Yet understanding that winning them all takes so much more than a bowl of wheaties that I don't get too upset cause I do know that when the year is over we will be winners. We are Ole Miss.

i'm a hog fan and i liked nutt for about 8 1/2 of his 10 years here, i'm not one that hates him, i think he's a GOOD coach, not a GREAT coach. i can't really understand the hatred for nutt among ark fans but i believe that is why he's gone, thats what it took for him to leave and i believe we're better off, it was time for a change. i hope he wins'em all but one every year

Whoever came on here and said that Nutt would *beep* up in the first year was just talking out of their rectal cavity.

Quite the contrary, when Nutt was announced as Ole Miss' coach, I thought "oh my God, they have the table set for him in Oxford. He is going to end up looking like a genius the next couple of years..."

*** FLASHBACK ***

It's 1997 and Danny Ford has just been fired after back-to-back 4-7 seasons. Ford had amassed a great deal of talent (including the most solid QB Nutt would ever coach) but simply could not motivate them properly. Nutt comes in with the rah-rah and starts out 8-0 with a talented, veteran squad that was hungry for winning and eager to latch onto the philosophy of the excitable "player's coach".

After a close, heartbreaking loss at Tennessee, we deflate the next week in Starkville, thus beginning Nutt's 11 year run of losing his 2nd SEC game immediately after the 1st SEC loss (it took a game against Vandy this year to break that streak for Nutt).

Although Year 2 at Arkansas should have been a banner year due to returning everyone from the previous year, it marked a generally steady decline for the Nutt Regime. His recruiting never matched the level of Ford's recruits and his rah-rah became old hat as his offensive playcalling grew progressively more fear-based (gotta protect the football....it's precious!).

I already know the Nutt routine and this is the high point: First Act.

I think in the short term, he is a good hire for you guys. And I also think that because he doesn't have the Good Ole Boys to protect him like he did in his home state, you guys will fire him when the time comes and move onto the next guy before he damages your program. He will be at Ole Miss far shorter than he was at Arkansas.

Nutt's recruiting at Ole Miss has been stellar. There have been some true freshmen that have really contributed. Maybe it's just hard to recruit at Arkansas.

I respectfully take exception to your usage of the word "all" in your rather sweeping condemnation of Hog fans. That designation paints a great many basically decent and respectful folk with the same indiscriminate brush with which you judiciously lump us "all" together and relegate us "all" to the trash heap. Such is your personal prerogative, of course; I DO feel, however, that your "all" inclusive pronouncement is innately unfair and overtly and prejudicially damning. I'll live over it somehow, though. As the late Senator Ted Kennedy said at Chappaquidick, "Drive on".
