I, too, do not ever want to see it again. However, this year's bowl effort, ugly as it was, was infinitely better than the alternative of playing this badly and losing! An ugly loss following the State disaster would have left the foulest stench imaginable in our nostrils...

someone said on another board: Would you rather see an ugly win or a beautiful loss?felicianareb wrote:I, too, do not ever want to see it again. Just watch it with the mentality of pulling for a fearless and destructive defensive effort. "That D is BAD!!!!!!!!!"

In fairness, with the exception of QB, I thought the Rebels kicked ass....and this year I have learned to watch two games when I am watching the Rebels...Snead...and then the rest of the team. It has been the only way I can truly judge how far we have come and come away with hope..and I am very hopeful and optimistic IF we make a QB change.
I watched last year's Cotton Bowl on hulu.com about 4 times from January until the Memphis game this season.
This off-season, I'll probably search for Dex's 86 yard TD run on youtube and skip the rest of the game.

You're right...we dominated Okie State pretty much the entire game. It seemed to me that our defense stepped up and made plays by shutting down their offense while our offense (or at least one part of it) laid down and so their defense didn't have to make plays, we just handed it to them.Rebchuck18 wrote:In fairness, with the exception of QB, I thought the Rebels kicked ass....and this year I have learned to watch two games when I am watching the Rebels...Snead...and then the rest of the team. I haven't been one to call for Snead's head...I always thought he would turn it around like he did last year. But after this game I'm with you chuck, it's time for a QB change (unless Snead makes DRASTIC improvements between now and September, and even then he should be on a very short leash). He had everything he needed to make the plays against OSU...good protection and open receivers, and he flat didn't get it done.
I've still got last year's Egg Bowl and Cotton Bowl on my DVR...just cannot make myself erase them. I just don't know what to do with this year's CB...yeah, it's a win. But one that took a couple of years off of my life and the source of so much frustration that I really don't know if I want to re-live it.TNreb wrote:I watched last year's Cotton Bowl on hulu.com about 4 times from January until the Memphis game this season.
