For the love of the Almighty. Let's please stop all this Star Wars horsecrap. Unless you have pointy ears or say "nanoo, nanoo" as a hello to people- this isn't remotely entertaining.

You can make jokes about it all you want, but Star Wars isn't one of the most beloved, highest grossing and mass marketed movie franchises in the world because only nerds watch it. Star Wars is very main stream. Most kids have seen the films. Even the ones we recruit. You seriously think this would turn someone away? Thats ludicrous.

If the mascot selected was a Star Wars character, the university would have to get a license from owners of the trade marks to use him and market him...could cost big dollars.
