I put on my new blue Ole Miss shirt I bought yesterday ( I also bought new red and white shirts). I told my wife when we went out to Meridian and around Decatur, that I was a Rebel when Coach O ran our program into the ground and I am one today. I decided to step out there and get it overwith and just tell it like it is...hey everybody plays football, and sooner or later everbody sucks at it...but there's only one Ole Miss...and I'm proud to be associated with it. I had to say it one time and it was all I had to say.

Thanks my friend, when I walk into work Tuesday morning I may now take the same approach.

I was a Rebel for the Sloan years, the Arky St. game, the fiasco in 94, the Memphis game, and yes the travesty that was yesterday.

I will be a Rebel this coming Saturday as well, but have to admit, the season has lost its luster.

Good to see a positive post. My Ole Miss sticker is still on my window. The past is behind us now. looking forward to winning 9 or 10 games this year
I Thank you.
done

This was the worst loss in my 40 plus years as a rebel but I was in Jackson this weekend and I wore a different ole miss shirt everyday and so did baby Eli. The lowest point as a rebel still towers above the highest as a bulldog.

Pull that sticker off the window and put it over your eyes... There's no way to 10 wins from here.

Well its good to see we have progress since the jaw dropping moment last sat. Yet I'm not sure its safe to go outside. Dogs and Hogs are hunting us. They best beware too. I'm a wounded Rebel.

Days like Saturday come for nearly every program. At Ark in the 90's alone we lost to the Citadel, SMU 3 times and Memphis twice (shut out once). It's not pretty and it sucks trying to make sense of it.

Our 95' team opened the season to a loss to SMU with a Goaline Fumble. Rebounded to Win the West out right that year. Crazy things happen. Like Nutt said, it comes down to the mindset.

You can either let Jax State beat you once or multiple times. The players/coaches will decide. Life isn't about if you mess up it's when. Think OM will respond and have a good week this week.

Nutt's darkest hour (wins/losses wise) probably at Ark came after a home loss to Vandy. The next week is when we got drubbed by USC 70-17. We then went to Bama (with no QB might I add) and very nearly pulled off an upset over a good Bama team. He'll have OM ready. It's like Sean Peyton says in that "Boys of Fall" video. It's about those 3-4 hours you can't get back. If OM players grasp this concept, they will be better for it.

One thing that will help is that we will get our very vocal defensive team leader back and he has a new lease on life. He knows what it is like now to face the threat of losing everything you love and he will be fired up and his attitude is always infectious.

Exactly. You have to put everything into perspective. His experiences should help do so. Also, this wasn't a conference loss. Meaning, OM could very well win the West. Now, this doesn't sugar coat their glaring issues in the secondary and etc. But at least one could use this loss for good rather than bad. This week is all about the seniors, Staff and character of this team. We'll see saturday what they have decided to do.
