That's what i was wondering....if it was something new, or if it was because of the loss. Since it was the first show of the year, I wasn't sure. Maybe they should change the name. It does say Ole Miss Football with HOUSTON NUTT.
There's a story of when Lou Holtz was the coach at Ark. Apparently we had lost to a terrible conference team at home. He started his coaching show off with something like this. "My name is Lou Holtz and I apologize for the performance I was just apart of. I am embarrassed and sincerely hope the people of Arkansas can forgive me".
I have never heard of a coach not making his own coaches show. Sure there's a logical explanation.

He didn't miss his own coaches show. The show that aired Sunday and again yesterday was "Ole Miss Football: This Week" NOT "Ole Miss Football with Houston Nutt". And I'm sure there are any of a number of reasons he was not previously scheduled to appear this week.spudhog wrote:There's a story of when Lou Holtz was the coach at Ark. He was live on the radio yesterday afternoon here in Jackson (Ben Ingram show): he made no excuses....he didn't enlighten me in any way but he didn't make any excuses either. "We gotta get better......" was said often. He also seemed not to be his normally bubbly and excited self....he was pi$$ed.
He better be......

In the post-game press conference footage, he looked like somebody just ran over his dog...not happy at all.ThunderReb wrote:He was live on the radio yesterday afternoon here in Jackson (Ben Ingram show): he made no excuses....he didn't enlighten me in any way but he didn't make any excuses either. Ha. He's a coach that wears his emotions on his sleeve. That's something no one can debateSasquatch wrote:In the post-game press conference footage, he looked like somebody just ran over his dog...not happy at all.ThunderReb wrote:He was live on the radio yesterday afternoon here in Jackson (Ben Ingram show): he made no excuses....he didn't enlighten me in any way but he didn't make any excuses either. He is my coach and I am d*** glad we have him...he has taken my team to two consecutive 9 win seasons when we couldn't even win a conference game before he got here. I love his emotion and I love his recruiting and for the most part I love his play calling.
I am not very enamored with the way he is handling our starting QB right now and I will vent when I disagree with him, but he has an enormous amount of "grace" built up with me and his haters can kiss my white ass. He is OUR coach and I love the guy!

Fortunately, I did not see the TO thing, I make it a general policy to ignore him, but that is the way I feel abbout Nutt. Anybody who was a Rebel fan during the Orgeron nightmare ought to thank their lucky stars that Nutt fell into our laps and so quickly covered our ass after the most asenine hire in recent college football history in Orgeron.
As anyone on this board knows I will let it be known when I disagree with Nutt, but we are lucky to have him given where we were and the Arky fans who are trolling strictly as Nutt haters (not the semi reasonable ones like spudhog) have serious mental and emotional issues and need professional help.
As for the State trollers, when you are used to having so few positives, then you can only feed on envy and any little morsel of perceived negatives of others.
