No we don't need a new coach there wasn't much he could do considering that our receivers dropped 3 touchdown passes on 3 different drives and our defense was shredded for over 200 yards rushing. If anything its time for nix to go. The bottom line is our team isn't very good this year and rebel fans i will say that we will regret the decision forever if we fire nutt. The season isn't even over yet and not only that but remember the last time we fired a good coach after only 1 bad year? We suffered through 4 straight losing seasons with orgeron when most likely cutcliffe would have led us back to being good again we dont want to make that mistake again!
Maybe we need to just see how the season progresses before we get the pitchforks and torches.

3 losing saesons under Orgeron...and last I heard, Cutcliffe was lighting it up at Duke.....but I see what your saying, I could go on a soap box right now about what I would like to see on the sidelines for Ole Miss...
It was a figure of speech bro, you know, to point out the fact that we still paid dearly for making the mistake of firing cutcliffe, a coach who had a winning season every year except his last here at ole miss? We can't fire Nutt, not now. We have a top 10 recruiting class and what happens when you fire a coach that recruited good players? They de commit and go somewhere else. Our future looks good at ole miss and we don't want to *beep* that up. We have a very young offensive line and young players at many other positions. We will have a bad year this year but the future is bright and as much as i love olemiss i will say that the fans here are delusional sometimes about expectations such as thinking that were to good to keep a coach after only one bad year. At alabama thats understandable but as the great lee corso said after we wrongly fired cutcliffe, "whoa, this team and athletic director thinks that they must be usc or something by firing cutcliffe, he had only 1 bad season for christs sake!"

As with most of your posts I agree with bits and pieces of what you say. Our recruiting class is by far the best thing our football program has going. We dont need to fire Nutt but there has to be changes with the 3 headed monster we call an O coordinator.. Too many chiefs...
If you want to make a valid point I would refrain from quoting Lee Corso.. Lee Corso is on T.V. because he is a character not because he knows what the hell is going on.

Nutt is a quarterback killer. Yes, I am a Razorback fan, and we saw this crap for 10 years. We were thrilled when HDN left. The thing that made us sick is how he acted like he was leaving in the best interest of Arkansas fans. He left because McFadden, Jones, Hillis and Monk were all leaving and he didn't have anything coming in. Our next season would have been as your season is probably going to be. You have seen the best your coach can do. Get ready to start hearing the excuses. "Man if we could just have that one play back, if we could have just completed that pass, the SEC is just so tough, blah, blah, blah. I have no ill will against Ole Miss but Houston will never have you ranked in the top 10, 15, 20 or 25 at the end of any year. GO LOOK AT OUR RECORD FOR THE 10 YEARS HE WAS AT ARKANSAS.
This will be gone soon, but if you dumb hillbillies could enjoy your new marriage and get over your ex-wife... you'd all be happier, and healthier.

I have read many and posted comments of boards for many different schools, but I have never seen the venom from Ole Miss fans! As much as I dislike Alabama, at least you can have a discussion with Bama fans. You guys are so over the top with your perverted comments. I now see why you want a fish as your mascot. One word you might want to get used to hearing when you guys come to Fayetteville "INCOMING!"
I have not read anything on this board that insulted your school, your team, your tradition. The only thing any posted was we feel your pain with Nutt, but get used to it.
But, if that is how you want it, so be it.

Why keep the filth that comes from Arkansas fans lasting long on an Ole Miss forum?
Their has been more than plenty of trash exchanged both ways on this forum. Believe me on that one.

this is one of our problems at this school --- this type of thinking.
if we want to compete with the big boys, we have to think like the big boys. we have to play like the big boys
i'm not saying we need to fire Nutt after this season regardless of the outcome, i'm just stating that we need to change the way we think. some of our fans are content with mediocrity and see us as smaller than/lower than/not as good as some of the other schools that are consistently successful ----
