Craig Drummond(4*), Demareo Marr(3*), Jevan Snead(4*), Raymond Cotton(4*), Patrick Patterson(4*), Tig Barksdale(4*), Ryan Campbell(2*), Rishaw Johnson(4*), Tony Grimes(3*), Delvin Jones(4*), Clarence Jackson(3*), Rodney Scott(4*), Melvin Harris(2*), and Brandon Sanders(2*) go??? Sure, Melvin Harris will most likely be back on the team soon. Sure, some of these players suck. But all 14 of these guys weren't on the team when we took the field for the Egg bowl last Saturday. Because our record this year doesn't worry me as much as our attrition lately.

Some of those guys are/were Nutt's star recruits. Why are they dropping like flys? Do you know something, or are you teasing us?

I do know stuff. But I just wanted to present the data. A lot of people haven't sat down and realized how many players are no longer on this team. A lot of people are worried about the 4-8 record. I'm worried about the 14 players that are no longer on this team. 13 out of 14 of these players have left within the last year. Fan's were worried about the character of recruits from Orgeron's years, what about coach Nutt's?

So you're thinking it's the quality of Nutt's recruits, or Nutt and his assistants are running off good athletes???

Every team has attrition. There are plenty of star Nutt recruits still here and we look poised to bring in another good class. Some of those listed are gone for good, but others were only suspended and will be back. For those who did quit or were kicked off the team, I say good riddance. Only the stong survive.

I am sure he knows where Snead was but lets think about. If we are talking about Nutts recruits all those guys are not Nutts recruits. So sit down and take away O's recruits and then filter out Nutts and then filter out the problems they had. I remember when Cut took the job and he got rid of some of Tubbys guys and I don't remember any questions being asked. I think we were glad he got rid of the trouble makers and pot heads but now that Nutt may have implemented some of the same rules we want to bash him for it. Just sayin'!!

Ok, so I just cleared it up for you, if my count is right there were 2 on that list not recruited by Nutt. Rishaw Johnson, and Jevan Snead. You have the floor. Don't get my wrong I'm not telling you this is the end of the world or predicting the fall of Rome, however all of these players have left within the last calendar year (except for Drummond). That's the disturbing part. If you look at it closer, 11 of those 12 left since last years Cotton bowl win in Dallas. And if you throw Rishaw Johnson and Jevan Snead back into that mix, we have lost 13 players since the Cotton bowl win in Dallas.

This list is a little worrisome to me as well. But I am glad that many are gone because they are bad apples. And to make the list more valid I think you should remove Harris because he will be back and tig because he was never really here (nor should he have been). And hey. We did add masoli! Woopie! We obviously have a problem recruiting when it comes to drugs and alcohol. That bothers me more than attrition. Because that is apparently the cause for much of it.

Sorry about the length of this post. Obviously, some attrition is going to happen. Some signees will end up going JUCO. That isn't something that should reflect negatively on their character. Overall, this level of attrition is troubling.

Delvin Jones supposedly was responsible for burning a couch that belonged to the college. I think that might have been around the fall of 2010. If I remember correctly, he was suspended for a little while. He wasn't dismissed solely for the couch fire incident.

Last spring, he was arrested for public intoxication. My understanding is that's what got him dismissed from the team. I don't know whether there is anything more to it, but that's the rumor mill version of events.

I want to begin by saying "I don't advocate the actions, but.....are we the only school in the country that drug test our athletes? Why do we have so many marijuana pops that come out public? I just don't see other universities routinely dismissing players or leaking info on failed tests. The sad truth is, many young kids do dumb stuff. I know all of us can remember what it was like in college. The occasional alcohol binge occurred and still does today. They are kids. They *beep* up, but why does Ole Miss have so many that become public and result in their dismissal. It can't be isolated to our kids. Just wondering.
