if we didn't think there would be growing pains this year with all of the youth, namely the QB position. Just sayin!!

Wow really? Alabama isn't having issues with their QB's. Arkansas, not too shaby. Just sayin...

LOL, yea, we are all fools for believing that we could actually have a winning season for a change too. So, how long do these growing pains last?

After two weeks you're judging bammer and hoggietown to be successful?! Just b/c there qbs do not seem to be having issues yet? That is perfectly logical. I guess there is no need to play the rest of the da*m season. Lets just let the inbreds and hogs play each other next week for the trip to ATL.

Over-reaction.com.net.org??? Not having issues yet? Our's are having issues out the gate.

Take the homer glasses off, the key ingredient to success is consistancy and they've had two weeks of it and we have not. I can't tell you who's going to finish the game on Saturday for us, can you? The only players right now that are showing me anything is Scott, our punter and our kicker. Beyond that I'm holding my breath on every series on both offense and defense.

But hey if you're satisfied with the way we're playing well I guess we don't need to hold ourself to a NC standard.

Here's a better idea: let's pay for a 150 million dollar expansion of the stadium and not compete with the rest of the West. At least we'll look good.

I'm worn out on mediocrity. We've finished top 25 in recruiting for I don't know how many years. We couldn't beat BYU and we let SIU score 24 at home? Where do they rank in recruiting? It's not unrealistic to expect us to compete with the rest of the West.

If you want to make excuses knock yourself out.

Agree completely.

However, I will have to say one thing. What is your idea to the solution? Not trying to test you, just want to see what your thoughts are.

Way too much talent on our team to look like we have. There is no denying that.

Talent, yes...but also VERY young, inexperienced talent that is still developing at this level.

Well they best get developed cause Vandy will beat them if they don't get it together.

There isn't a silver bullet here to solve our problem. It's a developmental attitude.

There is a formula for being successful; that is you become an expert and your position and it's a relentless passion for wanting to be the best at what you do. Eli Manning for example was a perfect example of this; the guy called audibles non stop he was a student of his trade. Michael Spurlock did ZERO, took nothing from what Eli applied to be successful nor did any of the other QB's behind him. The same concept applies to every position and "young" guys learn from this by watching the starters ahead and so on and so forth. There isn't a start over period because each guy wants to be as successful as the man before him. We lose a guy and it's back to the drawing board at almost every position.

I use Alabama as an example not because they're getting better recruits, granted they finish higher than us but we're still getting top 20 guys, the level of athleticism isn't that far off. But yet year after year they have solid production from every position. I never find myself sitting here preseason saying well Bama should be a win this year, look how many seniors they lost. I however chew my fingernails off when we do.

It's not a nine to five job. You don't punch in after school and check out after two hours of practice and some lifting in the morning. You either want to dominate the guy in front of you or you want to get pwned by him. Well Rebel's which one is it? Because I can tell what National Championship team players will tell you. I can tell you what Jeff Scott says when he gears up. I'm going to break some db and lb ankles on Saturday at Vandy.

The last part you said was perfect, its about getting better each day and week, film study, practice, asking for help( we talkin about practice) you either want to be the best or not.
