We continue to "get better"... We "talk" about "getting better". We see some "positive" things on film. We keep "working". The players "keep listening". We have a "good week of practice"... We go "ready to play" and then we take the field......

Fresno St 30

Ole Miss 17

ZS 3 ints, 1 td... Jeff Scott gets the other td... This game will be just like the others, we cant run the ball, they will, we struggle to throw the ball, they dont. Time of possession gets out of hand the first half and we never have a lead.

I don't know whether to pick the final score or the amount of int's our QB's will throw or how many times I'm going to curse at the tv.

I predict we lose the game. I also predict that I'll be sauced by the end of it as my parents are coming in from Oxford to visit their grandkids so there will be two more Rebels in my house to comment on how bad we are.

Fresno - 24

Oxford - 13

Stoudt - 2 picks

tv cursing incidents - 43

For the first time in my life, my interest in this game is almost zilch. I asked a friend of mine from childhood if he went to the SI game...he said that he'd given up and had better things to do.

It kills me. I just kills me to write those words...and them coming from a friend who has loved the Rebels and his family is diehard Red and Blue.

I'll never lose hope completely and will always be interested, but for GOD'S SAKE, give me a REASON to hope!

I don't really want to because I have absolutely NO clue as to how this one turns out, but since we scored 13 last week, I'll go with 17 this week.

I honestly don't think our offense can score 45 points on any team left on our schedule...even if our defense scores 2 TDs. I would love to be proven wrong though!

1 opt= if our DB's get a pic6 for each INT Z throws we can set up last second 4Q victory courtsey of Bryson's leg
2 - a Jeff Scott TD not called back
3- oline finally shows up
4- Mackey or Brunetti take over running the spread

any of the above Rebs W

Rebels jump to an early 3 point lead on an opening drive FG. All 3 QB's get some playing time, but no one plays enough consecutive minutes to get into a rythm. Defense keeps it close early, but Fresno has something to prove.

Fresno is fired up because of last years loss and we are the first ever SEC team to visit.
Plus Pat Hill's teams are always well coached. Can we learn to Block AND Tackle this week??

Can't decide which way it goes. Will they surprise me at my darkest hour? Will they plummet me into the depths of football Tartarus? I dunno but I won't miss the game to find out. Thanks Pete! This is the anticipation excitement we all wanted!!

Whew, as I see it this is going to be a tough one to predict. All indications are that the team fight for a couple quarters then quit or be out coached, however I think this game may be different.

I believe going out to the west coast may be the best thing for the team right now (coaches and players both), getting away from the mess going on in Oxford may just be the medicine needed, at least for this week.

So, I will throw this out there:

Ole Miss - 27
Fresno State - 17

Yep, the limb is strong, but awful small!
