Being new to this forum i have been reading some before posting this and while is see a fair
amount of discussion about who will replace Nutt i think the question should be who will hire the next coach.
Boone needs to be replaced and i have a list of what think are good replacements.
Bubba Cunningham-Tulsa AD
Doug Woolard - USF AD
Tim Pernetti - Rutgers AD
a list of potential head coaches
Romeo Crennel - Kansas City DC
Chad Morris -Clemson OC
Kirby Smart - Bama DC

Why does Kirby Smarts name keep coming up? its easy to be a good coach when Nick Saban is bringing in 5 star Defensive players to coach. Name one successful coach that has came from the Saban coaching tree.

I've been saying that since this debacle started.
My AD wish list in preference order. WISH LIST
Archie Manning
Dr. Kevin White
Don Kessinger
My Coach Wish List (WISH LIST)
Chris Peterson (nothing wrong with seeing if he's interested in Nutt money)
Jeff Tedford
Ralph Friedgen (SP former Maryland HC)
Greg Schiano
Paul Johnson
Kent Austin
David Cutcliffe (Yes I said Cut. He was mildly successful here until he had heart trouble) Right now I'd take a coach like him to return stability to the program.)
Mike Riley
Phil Fulmer
Notice my wish list had no pick of the year coordinators. ALMOST every coach I listed has a reputation as a program builder. and we NEED to start over. Yes there is young talent there, but were far from reloading. We haven't been relevent regularly since Cut left. We need an AD fisrt! Look how badly bungled the O deal was under Petey. We need an AD that knows how to negotiate and keep it close tro the vest. Kevin White would be my first choice, but Archie is more of a dream.

Well, I came back and was mildly *beep* off about having my posts reduced just because I took some time off. I mean what gives mods the right to discount my years of posting just because I have taken a bit of time off. (No one has ever accused me of being opinionated)
Either way, I got over being butt hurt and have been reading lately. Im working on my Masters and between writing my thesis and papers, I really don't want to do alot of extra writing
Ole Miss Athletics is at a HUGE fork in the road in their history. I hope all goes well.

Why Kirby Smart? Kirby Smart has coached under two of the best: Bobby Bowden and Nick Saban. Kirby Smart is passionate and has a winning attitude. Kirby Smart has coached both offense and defense. Kirby Smart knows what it takes to win. Kirby Smart is young and has a lot of life left in him. Why not Kirby Smart? Unless we are prepared to pony up big bucks when mama (Georgia) comes calling, her son will run home faster than you can say "fried chicken for supper tonight". Kirby Smart is one of my top choices currently tied with Charlie Strong but that Georgia things does make one pause to think.
