SEC schedules are usually hammered out at the end of Feb or beginning of March. It's around the time that the SEC and ESPN will get together and work out some non-conference key matchups, kinda like the way they took Boise State away from us (got BYU) and matched them opening week with Gawga in Atlanta. I just hope that we keep Texas on the schedule. Can't wait for that game.

I don't know when the SEC will release schedules but the last word out of them was that they would stick with an 8 game schedule. I would imagine that all that will change is that one of our non-rival SEC east games will be exchanged for TAMU. That means that either UF or UGA would be dropped from next year's schedule and TAMU would be put in their place. My guess is that instead of opening our SEC slate with UF, we will open with TAMU, but that is pure speculation.bleuwolfe wrote:If they change our current schedule to add Mo and/or ATM when will we know? the things that have been said are:
Texas A&M is in the SEC West
Missouri is in the SEC East
The other teams stay in the same division they've been in
they will stick with an eight team schedule
Rivalries will be honored (open to interpretation I think that this was put there to assure AL and TN that they would still play each other)

There was an A&M schedule that was supposedly leaked. (Let me clarify, Texas A&M, not Mississippi A&M)...
A&M Home:
Florida, Alabama, LSU, Arkansas.
A&M Away:
Ole Miss, Mississippi State, Auburn, Missouri
No dates, no OOC games listed, and this was supposedly leaked, so take it for what it is worth. Missouri will be their "natural rival" from the East.

This is my word, and as such is beyond contestation.

You're right.....hopefully just as much for recruiting (QB anyone?)!JustBlues wrote:well ole miss is going to be travelling there a lot now.
Ye Gods! Cant we get any love for O-lineman???????? A QB's BEST friend is an Oline that can pass protect. Did we have 1 this year that could do that? No how about last year? NO!! Why would any decent QB want to go anywhere that did not value an Oline!!! Men. Refuse. to. see. the. Obvious. A QB no matter how great he may be has little value when he spends the game on his a$$ or running for his life. I cant stand it.olemissrebels236 wrote:You're right.....hopefully just as much for recruiting (QB anyone?)!JustBlues wrote:well ole miss is going to be travelling there a lot now.

Maybe I didn't make myself clear - I do not like tx, and the last tx qb we had was a mental case. Check Cali though, much better.

and even with that diminished mental capacity that Texas qb won 18 games in two years as a starter. Just think what we could do with a well adjusted TX qb! 8)="bleuwolfe"
