they did it that way so that we will not longer play away at alabama and away at lsu in the same year.

I understand why, I would just have been nice to have them play twice in Oxford. :)

Plus, I like having another shot at A&M next season at home.

I like two open dates to help keep players healthy.

Open bye after Texas before Bama should help a little with our game plans.. Plus it will rest up our players for the bama game after the big at Texas..

First six games are split 3-3 by the open date. It's a strange schedule but if ours is this odd, everyone else's will be, too. It's important not to look at a future schedule and assume that every team that is good now will be good then and same for the bad. So-called experts took a look at the 2012 OM schedule and designated it one of the three toughest in the nation.

It's not. It's tough because it's an SEC schedule, but a couple of teams that were supposed to be pretty good haven't turned out to be--Auburn and Arkansas. I think the jury really is still out on State, since they haven't yet played a team with a winning record. At any rate, we take them one at a time this year and next. And we will be in Year Two of CHF and Staff--which knows what it's doing. I think our defense, especially, will be stout next year.

I'd prefer to go to A&M, have Bama here, and have LSU in November, personally.

add to that, we play against idaho? what kind of cheer from their cheerleaders are we gonna hear all night? i would have to cover my grandkids ears!!!!!

Like having A&M coming back. Maybe we'll have good weather so we can show them what the Grove REALLY looks on gameday. Plus, after a year of strength and conditioning, Channing Ward will be up Johnny Football's *beep* all day long!!!

Crossroads and other Rebs: Let's agree that all the defensive coordinators in the SEC will be a year wiser coming up with something to slow down Johnny Manziel. He's enjoying his freshman phenom year, but let's see how he holds up as a sophomore. He'll continue to be good, but I'm betting he won't run wild all the time as he's doing now. Having to live up to the name 'Johnny Football' is pretty stout. And, yes, I'm really curious as to how he holds up even the rest of this year against teams like 'Bama and LSU. Florida showed how to keep him in check, so you know the SEC's best defensive minds will be studying that tape.
