Tell me where to send my contribution to this more than worth it fine. I imagine that we can collect this in all of 3 minutes and have some left over for next year when we do it again and again and again and again.

I can see fans doing this when we win the West under Hugh Freeze. BTW, why is this so heinous? Seems like I see other teams around the country in other leagues doing it all the time. My opinion is this: the SEC Office should spend a lot more time overseeing and training refs than it should worrying about moments of celebration in sports. The only thing I saw Saturday night that was truly heinous was that ref's explanation of the 'no call' on grounding because the 'receiver ran the wrong route.' Fine that man, or fire him, please.

Small price to pay....but I do hope that we get back to a point where beating State is not "field-rushing" worthy. Hopefully we are there.

I agree and hope beating MSU is not going to be field-rush worthy going forth , but as I told a State fan I played b-ball with this morning: I was in the stands, didn't rush the field, but did enjoy watching it! However, I felt like a burden lifted off the shoulders of every fan in the final seconds of that game, and the field rushing didn't necessarily have all that much to do with just beating the Bulldogs. It was a culmination of emotions pent up from a couple of frustrating seasons and the difficulty we've had this season closing games we needed to win enough to make a bowl. The students started it, and I felt it was more a rush the field from knowing we're going bowling again, there's hope for the future, and sheer excitement to want to celebrate with the players, with just a dash of your biggest in-state rival thrown in. Credit due where it's due..... theses students have been the best student section we've had in years. They stayed 'til the end, got loud, stayed loud, and sincerly supported our players. Of course a lot of that was because we've been in games 'til the end. Thus, the joyous rush of finally winning one and celebrating on the field.Rebchuck18 wrote:Small price to pay....but I do hope that we get back to a point where beating State is not "field-rushing" worthy. BTW, State fan totally agreed with me.

Seeing some of the videos and pics from after the game, it seems the players and students feel a little more connected than in the past? Winning will do that, but could we attribute that to Freeze, Bjork, or the players making it that way? I don't know, but it was noticeable to me.

To me it is obviously all 3, BUT I think the biggest difference from the previous three (players, coach and AD) is Bjork. He is ENGAGED with the students, team members, fans and donors, rich and poor. There are pics of him at Rebel Whiskey Alley this past weekend. He personally goes into the locker room to talk to players and who did he go and seek out at practice after a certain hit got him suspended for the Texas game? Sure, all of the three have had a tremendous impact and created a perfect storm for improvement this season, but I truly believe that Bjork's youth and energy have been able to compliment the other parts in a way that we have not previously seen under Bafoon's reign. Long live Bjork! Death to the good ol' boy system!!!

We NOW have an AD that stands behind our coaches and players. Bjork also has the Ole Miss fan base in mind. Ive been going to ball games for twenty something years since I was a kid in the Brewer days. This year the atmosphere of the entire program was more exciting, heart felt, and sincere than I have ever seen it.
Man what'd I miss, I had to *beep*. FIRST DOWN O..L..E MISS
