7. Compass Bowl: Ole Miss 38, Pittsburgh 17
Ole Miss continued their hot streak by thumping Pitt in Birmingham, as Bo Wallace continues to be the streakiest player in the SEC. He looked so good on his first two touchdown passes, to only look below average in his next two interceptions. But it was only fitting the Rebels ended with a win to complete the biggest turnaround in the SEC for 2012. The Rebels, not Bulldogs, have sole possession of all momentum in the state of Mississippi in January.

They are good...but unlike Mississippi State we don't view "owning Mississippi" as our ultimate goal. That is why Freeze will ultimately succeed much more than Mullen.

There are no countdown clocks in Oxford! We've owned those puppies for decades!

there may not be a physical countdown clock but there had better be a mental one and it had better read the amount of time until the next game. That's always what matters-- the next game.

Agreed. However, being the flagship program of the state does have some meaning. We cannot get to the next level without owning Mississippi first.

I do think there is a countdown clock in the locker room, but it just resets after every game to a countdown of the next game....point being, it does not count down to just one game

The word was momentum which is MUCH better than owning. Freeze recruits in Australia, Ill, NY etc. lighten up at little

Yup, the pendulum is swinging the opposite way for both programs. We are on the ascent and State is on the descent. I am looking forward to seeing heights we can attain! :D
Forward Rebels!
