Just read that we are losing qb Maikhail Miller. He is transferring. Don't know where though. Disappointed to hear this.

Maybe he can get some playing time at Kansas, or at least Charlie Weis thinks so.

That is not good news at all if true.

I hurts the depth and if things get bad it would force us to blow a redshirt on Kincade or Buchanan.

But, this guy was never really gonna play. And if I'm not mistaken, didn't Freeze almost not honor the scholly offer that Nutt and co. had gave him? My guess is he saw the writing on the wall and decided to go wear he might get some playing time.

A loss in terms of depth, but not a big loss, IMO.

From what I've gathered, Miller transferring is not up him. This stems from the BB ordeal. Hopefully he'll be the only one transferring. We should know in a day or two.

how'd he look in the Spring?

Answer that and then ask if you want him running the ship?

Don't be too upset over him leaving folks.

What's the BB ordeal? Brunetti?

Yes. Not sure if Burnette will survive that one. I don't think we redshirt Kincade either. Time will tell.

I think Brunetti survives as long as he doesn't get into anymore trouble. Chuck, on scout, was mentioning the 3 strike rule. There's still one or two that may end up being gone along with Miller. I was hoping Miller would be moved to TE, but... and to answer your question Eric, GtownRebel answered it, yes, the Brunetti ordeal.

My concern was for the immediate impact on our depth. But I too would have liked to have the option of moving him to tight end.

It certainly is not a disaster but it is not good news either. The situation we are currently in is that we have two scholarship QBs, one of whom has had recent legal and drug problems. Yes, unless something awful happens, we will have two more (freshmen) scholarship QBs on the first day of camp, but I don't count chickens prior to hatching. I have to consider Brunetti's situation as rather tenuous. We are talking about a senior that still is too involved in nonsense to be a leader and has to be on a very short leash. The other issue is the distraction issue. You don't want negative news right before the start of fall camp and the Brunetti situation, combined with the loss of 1/3 of our current scholarship QBs is a distraction. Once again, not a disaster and certainly surmountable, but not good news. I wonder about the timing of these things sometimes. If it was me and I felt at the end of spring that I wasn't where I wanted to be, I'd pull the trigger then instead of waiting until right before fall camp. It's bad for him because he has little time to find a place to go and little time to sell himself to the new staff. I do wish him well.

It hurts in the respect that it may make it harder to move Brunetti to Rb which is where he belongs and could help us most

It also hurts in that if Brunetti gets involved in any more nonsense, it makes it tough to decide what to do.

Nothing to see here move along. If Bo can't go at any point in the season than I can almost guarantee a Freshman would be thrown to the wolves. Barry would get an assist with certain packages, but not the full-time gig. Miller was not wanted and has proven that he is not needed at QB. Now TE maybe but he probably would've left anyway if that was presented to him. Most QB's are not tough enough to change positions once they have been practicing with that red/black practice jersey on for a while in college. They forget how to be tough enough especially for the trenches.

I hope a walk-on lineman gets his scholarship this year because guys that don't want to bust it don't deserve it.

I say a Freshman because most likely it means Bo is likely out for the season or hurt to the point he is not his old self, and Freeze will be looking towards the future. I highly doubt Barry is a back up more than if Bo has been sideline for a series or a half. If it looks like Bo won't be ready for a game the following week expect a freshman to walk off that sideline into the game.
